Buyer filed "Item Not Received" complaint and I refunded his $18 rather than get a defect (and also lose the $18). The next day he received the item, so I am out the $18.
That was in December.
Now, another buyer has filed INR and this time it's a $1000 item.
The tracking I get when I click on the "Orders" page:
"December 25, 2020, 1:52 am
Arrived at USPS Regional Facility
LITTLE ROCK AR DISTRIBUTION CENTER"
The tracking info from the USPS website:
"December 29, 2020
In Transit, Arriving Late
Your package will arrive later than expected, but is still on its way. It is currently in transit to the next facility."
I uploaded the tracking number but the complaint is still there. No response from the buyer.
I get the feeling I'm the victim again, of "social justice" - I am held responsible for the actions (or lack of action) by someone else. I paid $500 for this item, and this buyer will get it for free. Or, if I don't go along with the guidelines and TOS - item not delivered within 10 days - I will get a defect and the buyer will still get it for free, because Ebay will refund the money anyway and the buyer will probably get the item sooner or later.
Ebay is "not available" for telephone chat. No help there.
I've been with Ebay for more than a decade. I've always been able to work things out. But blaming me for someone else's mistake, and refusing to communicate about it, is outrageous.
And add two more packages, one $50, and another $150, at present, the buyer has not received that are over 10 days past due. I had to send replacement for one, the other has not filed INR yet.
Any suggestions on how to make this go right ?

- My eBay
- Selling
- Orders
- See all orders
Locate the transaction for which you need to send an invoice.
From the dropdown menu on the left-hand side of the entry:
- Print shipping labels or invoices
- Invoice for your own records
You should see the buyer's email address.

Its kind of funny. Ebay makes rules treating us like we are Big retail operations. Like feedback. We can not leave negative feedback for buyers. When I said something to Ebay, the rep said. Well Macys cant leave feedback against their customers. But yet with all the late shipments they are not treating us like Big Retail Stores, just like we have the money of Big retail stores. I ordered alot of Chritmas items online for Big retail stores this year and so many of the packages where late. When i called to complain, not one of them said. Oh here is your money back.
They said there is nothing we can do, USPS is having big delays. End of story. So basically you get it when you get it.

Exactly. We, the small sellers, are held financially responsible for the mistakes of the Big Delivery Service. Ebay and PO, UPS, Fedex do as they please, and if the customer does not receive his item in a few days, we lose our money and our item. We are blamed, not the people who actually caused the problem.
My solution to this is to form a "union." Just as in the past the workers united in unions to force an end to workplace abuses of big corporations, so to, do small sellers on Amazon and Ebay need to unite to create a big force to oppose and bring an end to Ebay and Amazon management abuse of their "workers."

eBay does everything they can to isolate the sellers from the buyers so getting an email address is difficult at best and PayPal won't send the invoice without the address. If you can get it done cryptically, you can invoice thru PayPal.
Once upon a time, in days of yore, I sent a message to a seller, who sent me his email. When that proved too clumsy to converse, he sent me his phone number. We discussed the item for sale, he ended the auction early with me as the winning bidder, and i drove over to his house later that day (20 min drive) to pick it up. Everybody won!
