There have many many times where buyers don't leave feedback, there should be some sort of feedback points awarded when no feedback has been left after a time limit has been reached.

1,957 Feedback left
Looks like you are getting feedback 84% of the time, isn't that good enough? If not why not? What would you do with an extra couple of hundred feedback? How would a few more feedback improve your business or life?

Nope, nope, nope.
As a buyer, if I withhold feedback it's because the transaction wasn't deserving of a positive, but it really wasn't deserving of a neg, either. If Ebay were to go to auto positives I would just start leaving neuts or negs instead of leaving nothing. MANY buyers do this.

eBay feedback is optional, and reflects feedback that comes from the buyer.
What you are suggesting is not feedback that comes from the buyer.
It would be nothing more than a transaction count, and representing that as "positive feedback" would be lying.

I disagree with that. As a buyer, if I feel a seller deserves feedback, it's left. Why should the seller be rewarded?
Buyer's and seller's have the option not to leave any feedback at all.

There would be some upset buyers if this were to be done. As Sweet Tea said, more buyers would leave negs & neutrals if they knew the buyer would get an automatic positive otherwise. NOT leaving feedback is sometimes a buyers silent way of saying they were not as completely satisfied as they had hoped to be with their purchase. Not all of course. But I certainly would not want to push my luck.

eBay performance metrics are compared to transaction count not feedback. Unless you have negatives you’re trying to bury, more feedback is a vanity thing.

eBay already has a program which sellers can use to do the same as you are suggesting.
Anyone can see how many sales the seller has made where the buyers did not leave feedback. This program could be improved by allowing people to see the number of sales the seller has made where the buyer did not leave feedback without requiring us to click on something to see it. At present, people have to click on "Feedback as a seller" to see it.

For the first time since starting on eBay (1997 under one ID) I am considering not leaving feedback until tracking shows delivered. Can you believe it? Me. The queen of hearts AND insistence of immediate feedie.
I'm down to around 20% reciprocation overall and buyer remorse returns filed as SNADs make me wanna even this out a little.
I have anger in my heart.

That gaping space at the end of my reply was supposed to be the place I said ...
OP, it'll never happen.

Then again, on the other hand - perhaps after a period of time, if the buyer doesn't leave feedback, maybe ebay should leave a negative, as one might think the transaction wasn't worth a positive?
Or, possibly, after a month, ebay could leave a neutral and then change it to a negative after, oh, say, 6 months if the buyer doesn't change it?
How would THAT work out for 'some sort of feedback points awarded'?
(One must be careful for what one wishes)

I just noticed that I made a mistake in my last post about how buyers can see how many sales a seller has made where the buyer did not leave feedback.
To see that, we would need to click on "Feedback left". Some sellers don't use it that way, so it only works correctly for sellers who want it to show all sales.

As a seller, I'm getting about 40 percent feedback left for me.
Oh, and that doesn't bother me at all. No returns, no SNAD's. I'm happy.
On that selling account, I give 100 percent of my buyers Pos fb when I ship.
On my buying account, I've left about 95 percent feedback for my sellers.
(all Pos fb)
I've had a couple Bad unhappy transactions as a buyer.
The sellers were low fb. Learning, I felt. Well meaning.
So I left them No fb, instead of something worse.
