Look, a lot of people hate selling here, I get it. But reading all the negativity on here gets old. So I'm making a thread only about positive events.
Examples: something sold higher than you expected it to, a transaction went better than expected, you found a storage unit you can easily sell for 20X more than you paid for it, etc.

Ok, I'll bedgrudgingly play...
Was talking to another dealer how a certain thrift never has anything good anymore, walked in the place five minutes later and picked up a very HOT mid century item, selling it for $500, won't last long even that high priced, spent $4...
Sold one of my oldest listings on ebay, had it listed over 5 years, last night somebody bought it...
Did a search for leather boat shoes yesterday as mine have seen better days...did find some...that's the positive part I suppose, but WHY OH WHY did I have to put "boat" in quotes to get rid of the 1,000 ballet shoes and other completely unrelated items? Items that had "boat" no place in the title or description? So I'm not complaining am I? No I did find what I was after, but I sure hope those who are buyers only get a free boolean class from ebay, snort...

I recently aquired a item from a local seller via craigslist. I bought several. I listed them on ebay and they are selling ............. at a more than 1000% mark up! Yes you heard correctly, 1000%! Thank you ebay!

The last used book store is going out of business.
Last month they had a buck a book sale.
In the morning, all books will be free.

I feel positive eBay is listening to its sellers and things will turn around and start to be GREAT again very soon.

Casual seller here, grateful for the positive thread to post in!
In the past month, I have listed 60 lots and items of collectible doll stuff -- decluttered my house, made 10x more money than I expected, and only had 3 UPIs (two of them have ended in successful SCOs, whew). Learned a lot about selling on eBay, met some very nice buyers, and made my small-town post office clerks laugh, too.
Yes, I'm still crossing my fingers that returns and complaints don't start flooding back to me, but so far, so good.

At 6pm UK time today, I will be retiring at aged 58.
My kids will be doing all the work in the future, while I put my feet up doing nothing, but will still be making money.
I can't think of anything more positive than that..
Oh yes I can actually.
If I live till I'm 67, I will also receive my state pension on top..![]()

Since starting my business in May of 2012, I have donated over 6,000 pounds of unusable aluminum cans and scraps from my ornament making business to our local animal shelter for recycling. The animal shelter uses the money they generate from recycling the cans and scraps to purchase bedding, laundry soap, bleach and toys.
