Poor Policy

I am trying to resolve this. But I cannot if the buyer does not answer me.
This is another case when a buyer knows if they put in a claim of not receiving a delivery this they can get the item for nothing.
Something must be done about this by eBay.
There should be more enforcement on the seller. Many know that if they do not respond to the seller they get to keep the item they purchased and the seller losses out.
Why does eBay not do something about this. This is unfair to the sellers on your site who fall subject to buyers who know how to manipulate the system to get stuff for free and cheat the sellers.
This is not only me. I am sure this is happening all of the time.
When buyers do not respond it is a sign that they want to cheat and steal from the seller. They know that they have a time clock set by eBay and when this time clock runs out then eBay gives them the stuff for nothing.
This is not right and something must be done about this. I am tired of this and i am sure I am speaking for other sellers who got gipped and sellers who will get gipped in the future and continue to get gipped as long as nothing is done about it.

Good luck! I think you'll actually find that doing so will eliminate a whole bunch of your problem buyers because it will discourage the people who are just trying to get something for nothing. The people who genuinely want what you're offering probably won't mind paying the higher price to make sure it arrives safely!

Do you have tracking showing the item was delivered?

If you do, reply to the case and upload the tracking number.

Tracking shows whether or not the item in question was delivered or not. If it shows as delivered, then there should be no problem for the seller.

Are you not providing tracking? I don't understand where else your problem of being "gipped" for item not received is coming from.

Yep, buyers take advantage of late deliveries buy opening INR's the second they get a chance, they have no intention of paying for anything. ebay created this mess by only allowing a 3 day grace period before refunding these scammers.

 

Apparently ebay can't comprehend what the word "ESTIMATE" means. To make matters worse, ebay intentionally lies to buyers about when they will receive their items.

 

It would make more sense for ebay to extend the grace period for item not received claims to 7 business days, as sellers have no control over the postal service. Or at least force the buyer to pay for the item once its received.

 

ebay should charge their payment method on file upon delivery, rather than forcing sellers to beg for their money knowing they will never get it.

 

The sad reality is ebay doesn't care if their sellers get robbed.

If you have a tracking number and it shows delivered, respond to the case with the number.  You will win.  If you did not use tracking, you have no choice but to refund.  Do NOT ship anything w/o tracking.  Yes , there are dishonest folk but sometimes, items never arrive.

Once that 3 day period is up, ebay just let's the buyer keep your item without ever paying for it. Why anyone would find this acceptable is beyond me.

What you can do is first try and get the buyer to pay. Should they refuse, I call ebay and demand my money. I don't care what ebay's policies are, I tell them to find my money and I don't stop calling until I get it! ebay has no legal right to give your products away for free, the law affords ebay no such right.

Yes, this is a horrible policy but don't expect EBAY to change it.     Only thing you can do is change your "shipping method to Priority Mail" and charge customers for the postage.   Customers are spoiled and demand immediate delivery.

Did you upload the tracking number to the dispute? You dont need any response from the buyer.

I have 4 of these disputes hanging out waiting to time out right now. In every case I just respond with the tracking number and eventually automatically win the case.  Sure, you ONLY have 3 days to respond, but I am not sure why that would be an issue.

I'm not sure of what you are saying here.

 

If the seller doesn't provide tracking (and I don't think the OP did, unless I'm missing something) why should eBay side with the seller? Or are you just talking about a late delivery?

 

Things get lost in the mail and some sellers are as dishonest as some buyers. When I buy and pay, I expect to get the item.  Doesn't everyone?

I didn't look at the original posters store until now.

 

When you sell nothing but roach clips (looks like stamp and envelope method at that) you are going to have to expect to get a huge number of claims.  There is just no way around that. Build it into your business model or sell something else.

Either you missed the point of the OP's message, or I did.

The OP appears to be saying that his buyer has opened an item not received case.  Doesn't that mean that the buyer DID pay, but now claims INR? And isn't the answer to this is to post the tracking # to the case?
