Please help! The item didnt have anything wrong!

Ok, I'm still new to this with selling. What do you guys do? I sold a lot of items and they were Hot Wheels cards. The lot was worth more then he nodded for. Great shape, no creases or bends. He now says that one had two slight creases and a few had soft corners. What would you guys do? It was a lot of like 8 valuable cards. I feel like I'm being scammed because I always note any flaw and take pictures of it.

Did the buyer just state there were damaged cards, or did they write something like "how do you want to proceed?"

 

With the info you have provided it is hard to say what to do.  If they only said there's damage, it sounds like they are fishing for a partial refund.  In checking your listings I see you describe flaws on single items and small lots, but on the larger ones you state

"Any Flaws can be seen in pictures"  actually you have that statment on all listings.

If you did not describe some minor issues, and they file a not as described dispute you'll have to decide if you want to pay to have the items sent back, or issue a partial refund.

 

If that haven't said what solution they want, before making any decision I would look at their feedback left for other sellers.  If you see many comments like "seller worked with me, mentions of small issues, or seller communicated well"  Those are indications they shop for partial refunds. If they tend to leave neutral or negative feedback often they may be excessively picky. 

 

My inclination is to tell them return the lot for a full refund route.  That may get them to reveal their real motive by suggesting a partial refund as a solution.  If you really feel you could have gotten more for the lot, I would stick with return for refund and hope they open a dispute so you are only out the return shpping cost.

I'm sorry you're having negative issues right off the bat . The only possibilities I can think of  with this situation  is the buyer may be a collecter  and so  may have you  confused with another seller he recently purchased from . Or he's looking for a partial refund . Has he requested a return for  a refund ? If not , I suggest you do nothing   other than reasure him the items you sent were as advertised  . Tulips

If he contacted you before opening a return, he's fishing for a partial refund. Just tell them to open a return case and most likely you'll never hear from them again.

Some people will try anything to get a partial refund. The way to avoid those buyers is to never sell an item for less than it is worth. Seems the "get a deal" buyers can be the most problematic, and sometimes those buyers might be other dealers, so they are looking to get stuff cheap. Buyers that pay top price almost never give me any problems! Just my experience selling on ebay, YMMV.

Just tell him return for refund if he wants to open a case. Don't get into an argument with him, just keep repeating that over and over as necessary.

Thanks. He messaged me last night asking, was there any damage to a certain car before I sent it, that he didn't see any on the listing. I told him no, and that if there is any damage, I take pictures of it and note it in description. Then he didn't reply, and messaged me this morning stating that one card had a slight crease and a very small light other crease, and that they had soft corners. He hasn't mentioned anything about refunds.

He has not requested anything. Only asked me if damaged before I sent. Told him no. Then he messages next day saying they are damaged.

@4wheelstreasurechest  Yep, you are probably getting scammed, if the cards were in the shape you said then the Buyer may be fishing for a partial refund so they can increase their profit when they resell them.

There is not much you can do if they plan to scam you but you can simply advise them to process a return in the Resolution Center and they have 30 days from the date of confirmed delivery to do so and then wait.  Do not debate the condition of the cards, that means nothing and will only lead to an argument.

The right Hot Wheels items are valuable to collectors ... we saw a small lot of red lined wheeled cars gor fo over $ 650 at an auction ...

The only problem with that scenario is that the buyer can send ANYTHING back, even an empty box, and the refund will be given to the buyer from the seller's proceeds.

If you are sure there wasn't any problems with the cards, to me, it sounds like the buyer either wants a partial refund or someone that is upgrading their collection.

 

If it is for a partial refund, just tell them to file a return request with ebay and repsond to it with refund after return.  Then block.  Partial refunds is a bad habit to start.

 

If it is a collector upgrading their collection, hopefully you some of your original cards back.  Same as above - return for refund, block.

 

But, wait for the other shoe to drop.  The buyer will let you know, one way or another.

Not saying 'NO' doesn't mean 'YES'.

The foolishness of one's actions or words is determined by the number of witnesses.

Perhaps if Brains were described as an APP, many people would use them more often.

If you do opt for a return, you will get back what he says he got. Chances are those will be the ones that he had in his collection and he bought yours to replace his slightly damaged ones and will return those as the originals.

That's the part about waiting for the other shoe to drop.  He asked, you answered, he said there was damage.

 

There isn't much, if anything, to say.  He will either drop it or present his demands - tactfully, it is hoped.  But, wait it out.  The ball is in his court and he hasn't finished talking.  You are politely waiting.
