Pickup instead of shipping

I sold a guitar on ebay and the buyer wants to pick-up instead of having it shipped.  The eBay transaction expects the item to be shipped. What is the best way to proceed ? My concern is buyer could technically cancel the transaction after leaving with the guitar and I have no recourse. How do I protect myself?

Buyers cant cancel transactions, since you have shipping as the delivery option, you will have no delivery confirmation number to prove delivery, and the buyer could file item not received. Your best bet is to cancel the transaction, use at buyers request,and relist it as pick up only and let him purchase it that way. Delivery confirmation is not required for pick up only items..you will be given a code to use for the pick up...and you can request cash at pick up..tho the buyer can use PP if he wants.
