Photo Transfer to Listings

Hello All,

I will be launching my first listing in a couple of weeks and I'm terrified!  My greatest worry concerns the transfer of photos from my android phone to my listings.  I'm thinking I'll go with the draft option:  Starting my listing on my computer minus photos, saving it as a draft, retrieving the draft page on my eBay app, clicking Add Photos, then selecting photos in Gallery.  My question is:  What next?  Will the photos automatically go to my listing once they're selected?  Or do I need to click specific icons to activate the transfer?  Any help/instructions anyone might provide would be so appreciated.  Thanking you in advance......

That's how I "get 'er done"

Make listing on laptop, fill in as many item specifics as possible, save draft, use Android eBay app and click Draft and upload pictures from gallery, return to laptop and refresh browser and there you have it. Double check listing to make sure everything including shipping looks good then click List 😁

OH there is icon to click on app and then select pictures in gallery and then click "add x(how many you selected) pictures", and you will see them loading into your draft. Easy Peasy

Don't be terrified be excited!!

Plus you can always ask here when you need help

Hi word68,

Okay, after you write up your listing and 'save for later', use your phone to take the pictures.  Open your eBay app on your phone and go to 'Drafts' and click on it to open it.  There's a 'add pictures' space with a cross in it. click on it and go to gallery.  Click on the pictures you want to add, they will highlight. Then hit the 'upload' tab. From there, click the arrow by the word 'photos' at the top of the screen and it will take you back to your listing and you have your photos.  Go to the bottom of the page and click List or Save, whatever you want.  Hope that is helpful.

Thank you very much for your helpful response.  Two follow-up questions:  Where do I find "Drafts" on my phone?  Where do I find the "Upload" tab?

I recommend doing it all on your computer until you learn the ins and outs of the listing form.

Go to "SELLING" on your e-bay home page. Click on selling and scroll down. You should find "DRAFTS" there--look closely. It has taken me about 30 mins but finally got it.

I have a PHONY 1983 s morgan dollar! I had to take a picture of the coin, but when I try to return the photo, I run into all kinds of problems! I can't find the "DRAFTS" tab (Somewhere) option where I must reach before I go any further, but I can't find it! MAYBE I am overlooking a symbol that I cannot understand?

If I want to use images from my android phone, I connect the charging cable for my phone to a USB port on my computer, and copy the images from my phone to the hard disk. That way I can use quality photo editing software to "improve" my images rather than include poorly composed, improperly exposed images in my listings.

I know this post is a year old now, but I highly recommend the app Photoroom. It has made my life so much easier! All I do is open the app, take a photo, it removes the background, and you can choose new backgrounds or stick with white, and you click export and then done (don't click save to gallery, that just saves to your phone, which is unnecessary) Then you go to your desktop and open Photoroom in the browser, sign in, and all of the photos from the app are now on the browser and you just download them from there. They do go into a compressed folder, so you need to left click the folder  and click extract all)

It's actually really easy once you get the hang of it.

If you use the free version it adds a "Photoroom" logo in the bottom corner of the photos, but I would just make my photos not go below a certain point and then crop the logo off when I uploaded to the listing. Now I have paid for the premium since I use it so much and it's really helped the quality of my listings.

Click here to go to Photoroom desktop page

If you have any questions don't be afraid to ask 🙂
