Id really like some insight from experienced sellers what happened to my account. I recently listed used GPUs I bought on EBAY 12-18 months ago and shipped super fast with tracking and have 100% positive feedback. I had one shady buyer who refused to pay for two items (GPUS) and looking at his history he has done that multiple times to other sellers. I received an email to verify my account and sent in My DL , Utility Bill and EBAY PROOF OF PURCHASE and then received an email to resend information and then a minute later that my account was permanently suspended and they are holding thousands of dollars of my funds. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am at a loss for words and would also like to re list the item the buyer reneged on.

Did you ask ebay about the reason of the permanently suspension??!

An account with little or no selling history, all of a sudden has $7000 worth of electronics available.
I've heard you can claim the funds through your state's revenue department. But, I have not heard of anyone who has been successful. (Maybe it's just because they don't come back to tell us)

Yes but no one on the phone has been able to confirm. It sounds like it is most likely account verification related. I have been buying on this account since 2016 but just recently started listing. Email below from Ebay which was two minutes after requesting more information on an item I took down from buy it now a couple weeks ago.

I may be way off here, but you sold around $10k in the last week. Yet before a week ago, you never sold on this account before.
ebay may want more documentation or is not satisfied with whatever docs you sent them.
And how does someone have so many used GPU's? I'm guessing ebay said the same thing and is not willing to take the risk of where they may have come from.

ok, I see by your most recent feedback shows that you were selling high dollar items all in the past month prior to that no feedback was recorded on this posting ID more then a year ago . that could be a problem
What did the email state exactly when you were notified your account / selling privileges had been restricted/suspended?

Sorry for you experience. You have a lot of multiple sales of the same items that are very high dollar. First red flag. Prior to that time frame when you sold all those GPU's etc, you had zero sales. Looks as you were only a buyer. Second red flag. Did ebay ask you to provide receipts for the inventory you were selling? Unfortunately, these types of items have a high rep of being stolen only to be sold quickly on the internet for fast cash. Not stating this is your situation at all. If you can provide receipts for all these items there should be no problem. And yes, this has happened to other sellers because this was considered fraudulent activity and Ebay as well as other e-commerce sites are cracking down hard. Many have gone to jail for this activity.
Cover your bases. Get you receipts in line and prove that these transactions were legitimate. It's the only way you'll be allowed back on ebay.
Good luck.

I bought them on EBAY previously which I provided records for. They took payment from buyers and have tracking and insurance. If that is the case they should not allow new sellers at all or should require different proof up front when listing. I'm not aware of any of that being in the terms and conditions.

You bought all those GPUs on eBay? If you did, eBay would know just by looking at your personal purchase history. It is clear all are not showing up in your purchase history which is why they want you to provide proof of purchase. For ALL of them. The items look new. You sold too many expensive electronic items in a short time. This always almost results in a permanent ban. And no, you cannot relist those items. A permanent ban on eBay is permanent.

That's what I said in my response to Ebay they should be able to verify most of them since the products were originally bought on Ebay. There is no detailed feedback in this process with Ebay. Selling too much in a short period of time always results in a permanent ban? They should market that one.

The Ops account is permanently restricted from selling, but is not banned.
It's ebay's site. They make the decisions, so that's why I was only guessing. I can't even afford one of those GPUs, so couldn't imagine having so many.
Anyway, my other thought was maybe one or more of these companies VeRO your listings:
MSI, ZOTAC, NVIDIA, Gigabyte, EVGA, and PowerColor reported the activity to ebay.
You have to admit, most people don't own this number of GPUs. And with government reporting, everything of any financial significance has to be tracked and recorded these days.

New sellers have a selling limit of 10 items with a total value of up to $500 per month.
Did you not know that?
For the buyer who didn't pay did you cancel choosing buyer didn't pay? If you canceled saying out of stock that was not good. You got a defect and eBay could be thinking you canceled to take the payment off eBay.
There's no need to try to find out why you're a risk, the reason they suspended you from selling. They won't tell you.
Permanently suspended is forever.
If you successfully attached a bank account your funds will be released in 30 days. If not then in 6 months expect to get a letter from eBay saying your funds are in escheatment.

I did not know there was a limit of 10 items or $500/month. That's good information and would explain most of this.
I asked if there are any disputes on my accounts and there is not. I put either buyer requested or buyer didn't pay.
Yes I do have a bank account linked and verified EBAY told me they would release my funds in 60 to 70 days. Which I could understand if I didn't have a verified bank account and that is a long time to wait when all items have been received by buyers at this point. EBAY did send me the first payment for the first item I sold via Buy it Now and I've always used the same bank account for buying.

I had one shady buyer who refused to pay for two items (GPUS) and looking at his history he has done that multiple times to other sellers.
And you opened an Unpaid Item Dispute after 96 hours and the transaction was cancelled? That should not affect your account
and they are holding thousands of dollars of my funds.
Did you register for Managed Payments BEFORE you started listing?
Without an MP account, which requires you to provide access to a checking account in your own country and at least one other form of identification*, eBay has no way to transfer your customer payments** to you.
*US residents can provide their SSN or ITFN. Non-residents have other choices. I used my passport and DH used his driving license to eBay Canada, our home site.
** Even with an MP account, eBay has a Hold on payments to new, occasional, and returning sellers of 30 days to allow time for the purchase to arrive and the buyer satisfied. The seller can use the Held funds to buy shipping labels.

Where do you find your selling limits on your profile?
