Is Paypal still one of the preferred payments accepted by eBay for buyers? I've read confusing answers. I don't know whether to put Paypal in my listings as a preferred method.

PayPal will automatically show as a payment option for your buyers. You don't have to do anything about this. Your listing will show all of the payment options that buyers can use, through eBay's Managed Payments system.

It is a method of payment, but not necessarily a preferred method of payment. You get paid, whichever your buyer uses.

eBay doesn't want a seller to discourage or prefer a specific method for paying.

For several months I have been trying to complete payments using PayPal and PayPal Credit and those payments not only fail but the sellers are unaware that they are missing out on sales of their items.
Ebay claims it is a know "Glitch" on Ebay's part and continue to claim it will be resolved soon... that still remains to be seen now months later

Does she have any ideas regarding what? The OP's question? I think it's been pretty thoroughly addressed by other replies, hasn't it?

That's a different issue from what the OP is asking. Perhaps you'd be interested in starting your own thread on the Buying board if you're having trouble making a purchase through eBay's checkout system; however, it's usually been the case that problems with paying for a purchase are on the side of the buyer, not eBay or the seller.
Here's a link to the Buying board, should you choose to post there:

as others have said its sort of up to ebay to put that list of payments up.
I dont think you can even choose/edit since sellers are all supposed to be using MP
ebay handles the list of payments

Paypal just updated their TOS and, as a seller, if you sell something that they deem against their TOS, they can and will now fine you up to $2500+, which they claim is the cost to their brand reputation and internal work product. Their TOS doesn't specifically list every item they are against sellers selling, which leaves them a lot of room to go after any seller or purchase they want. I would NOT have Paypal listed as a payment method at this point. I am looking to have them removed from as an accepted payment. I don't care if it loses me sales, if someone really wants what you have they will use another method. Every credit card company now offers virtual cards so buyers don't have to use their real card number. But even so, I'd rather lose a $100 sale than potentially end up with a $2500 Paypal fine.
