What payment method are you trying to use?

The problem is not ebay.
Buyers in Sri Lanka having problems paying using a debit card should contact their bank:

How many times has this question been asked? HUNDREDS. 99% by Sri Lankans. Why doesn't anyone ever type their question in the search to see if someone else is having that problem before being the 5th person in a row asking that exact question today?
Contact your bank. They're trying to keep all the money in Sri Lanka. It's your money. Don't put up with that.

My question is... does anyone read or watch the news over there? They have devices for the internet that would inform them.
I would think this would be common knowledge in Sri lanka. It baffles me.

@ckimodog I spent a month in Sri Lanka a couple of years ago. The questions don't surprise me. Unemployment with young people is over 50% and their access to the internet is limited to internet shops where they probably see printed advertisements for "seminars" on how to earn your fortune selling on eBay. These young people have no experience or knowledge of banking, PayPal, Payoneer, credit cards, debit cards etc.
I am surprised at how many do make their way to the eBay Community boards always with the same questions. Their seminar teachers must give homework and give them the Community web address and tell them if they can find their answers here.

@tex-421 This is why I reply with the seller school link. I think it's a helpful tool and would give them more insight in what it actually takes to be a seller. I have also suggested taking a business course. It just surprises me because most of these people have educations that are far more advanced than most people. My good friend is from Sri Lanka. He's an executive for a major communications company here in town and both of his kids earned scholarships to college. One of them was a finalist in the Scripts spelling bee here a few years ago. I realize they're a poor country, I just think ebay could have gone another route with perhaps helping these people with selling. I believe many are very serious about it, but perhaps don't understand there's so much more to it than just signing up to sell coconut items.

Baffles me, too. But doesn't surprise me. Most questions from there show they lack the sense or inactive to figure out some questions for themselves. They want the answer handed to them on a silver platter.

Good lord,,, I type ability and eBay sneakily changes it to inactive. Their automatic editor needs to quit changing my dang words. I need chocolate now. And peanuts in my Pepsi.
