I have just sold an item to a buyer who ‘collected in person’ but eBay have told me that they won’t release the purchase price until delivery has been confirmed. I asked the buyer for his collection code but when I entered this I got a response saying it was invalid. I have no other way of proving the item has been collected and my payment is stuck in limbo until I do! Is there anything I can do?

Did you enter the code while the buyer was still there? You shouldn't have let them pick it up until they could give you a valid code.

No, I knew nothing about these codes. This is the first time I have sold anything on eBay!
