Payment Error

Hi eBay Community,

When I go to pay for some item, i can't pay using my cards or PayPal. Do you familiar with this error? Please tell me how to fix this issue.

It's your bank in Sri Lanka that is blocking the payments, contact them.

I ask from them. But merchants accept payment and declined again. They said me this fault from eBay side! IDK

That's funny because your government's website reported SL  is running out of foreign reserves or has none at times, and some banks will be limiting foreign payments. 

eBay has no reason to decline an accepted payment method.  Cards are blocked because your card provider has blocked the card. Maybe you need to enable foreign currency fees. I know I wouldn't  put up with a bank that wouldn't let me spend my money. 

I had a walk in  retail business and I accepted debit and  credit cards and when a card  was declined the problem was not on my end.

I think your bank and government might have "borrowed" the depositor's funds and have to kike them back to your account but they don't want you to know.

Have you signed up for Payoneer? Being in Sri Lanka, you will need to do that .

I think you're confused..

They do not need to be in managed payments and have a Payoneer account to purchase and pay for an item. They need to pay with an accepted payment method, and Payoneer is not an accepted payment method on eBay.

Your country is going broke and they want to keep as much money in Sri Lanka as they can.

Your country is running out of foreign reserves, that's why they are blocking foreign transactions.

The problem isn't on Ebay's side.
