Why…oh WHY is it not setup to where when someone wins an auction it automatically takes the funds and you get paid as a seller…I’m so SICK of selling something and not getting paid…so stupid…bid responsible!!! Come on eBay make this happen…if they win an auction money comes right out!!!!

If you want immediate payment, stop using the auction format. Most buyers don't like it, anyhow, and it accounts for fewer than 15% of the sales on eBay. Auctions tend to attract sport-bidders and others playing silly games, too.
So list at Fixed Price, Immediate Payment Required, and do not entertain Offers. Easy.
If you prefer running auctions, for your own reasons, then accept that buyers have four days to pay, if they pay at all, and stop stressing about it.

Do you have a payment account so that eBay can send you your money? This is how eBay is now. I had a sale yesterday, I'll probably get it later today or tomorrow. I understand that some of us need our funds quicker than others, but this is the way it has been for several years. And this is also a holiday weekend. Bottom line...eBay, love it or leave it. Congrats on all your sales...wishing you continued success.
Happy Selling!

@fergasm Yours is a long standing complaint.
The Good news is: ebay has said they are working on setting up immediate payments for buyer initiated offers (and, in fact, that is slowly rolling out), which will be followed by auctions, which will be followed by Seller Initiated Offers.
The Bad news is: ebay has been slowly rolling out the first one since last year, and has provided no time line for any of these changes. So, when can we hope to finally have immediate payments on auctions?
No one knows. I'm pretty sure not even ebay knows.
Sad, but that's the reality.

I don't know why you're using auctions when most of them only get 1 or 2 bids.
List as fixed price with immediate payment required and you don't have to worry about the buyers that don't pay.

Awesome advice…thank you so much!!!

eBay isn’t going to change how auctions are paid for. It is the seller that needs to make the decision to either list auction style or fixed price. If you want payment for your thingamabob then use fixed price,Stop listing in auction format and require immediate payment.. Problem solved!
