PayPal Question

Hello,

I’ve been selling on eBay for years but in the last few months I’ve upped my volume and one of the things I want to be able to do it have people pay Immediately when they select “Buy It Now” or when I accept their offer but my account has a old PayPal addrsss listed as the payment address for Immediate payment and I can’t for the life of me figure out how to change that PayPal address to my current one. Can anyone tell me how to update my PayPal info?

Cheers,

Jake

PayPal Question

Hi Jake. Not sure i completely understand the question. PayPal has no bearing on getting immediate payment.

To add “Immediate Payment Required” to your fixed price listings, under Payment Options on the listing form, you just need to tick the box.

eBay does not yet have IPR for Best Offers.

See the link below for more info.

PayPal Question

While a buyer can still use PP to pay, Paypal is no longer the payment facilitator for the sellers receipt of those funds.

You should be on managed payments with your scheduled payouts going to your nominated checking account.

PayPal Question

Are you sure that you are receiving payments through PayPal?  Most/all US sellers receive payment through Managed Payments, not through PP so your PP isn’t needed on your listings.  If you want to require immediate payment for BIN listings you should be able to check that off on your listing.  But I think that when you accept an offer,  there are only specific buyers who are required to pay right away.    There is a preference that you can check off to require IP with offers so that once that option is available to everyone, it will apply to your listings.  I don’t remember where you find that preference.

PayPal Question

No money goes into your PayPal account anymore.   PayPal no longer handles EBAY money management.    After customer pays EBAY sends money to your checking account.

PayPal Question

This is what confusing me, my immediate payment is set to no, when I go in to activate it the only choose for IP is one with my old PayPal address. So if I select that what happens? Does it still through eBay the normal way?

PayPal Question

You are in managed payments, (I checked your listings) so have you supplied the information needed to eBay - Check account, routing number, SSN, proof of ID - if you have not done this then you will not be paid by eBay as they will have nowhere to send your funds.

Have you received any payments for the items you have sold so far?

@dmbt

Just a thought = If by immediate payment you are referring to how paypal released sellers funds immediately to you, then no - this is no longer the case - and the transfer to your check account can take 2-3 days, nothing can be done about that.

PayPal Question

I am not sure you can "update" your PayPal account information and as others mentioned if you are in MP you do not receive payments into your PayPal account any longer. You can use your PayPal account to pay for items you purchase on eBay. You don't actually update current information but you can add your new PayPal information and once done delete the old entry.
