Pay Pal Credit Option

Ever since I started with the EBAY managed payments program (a year ago),

my listings do not offer the PAYPAL CREDIT OPTION. Subsequently, I know

that i am loosing sales because of this. I thought when i signed up for this

program it would help my selling. It seems that it is just the opposite.

Any suggestions or specific changes i can make to get it back????

Thanks for your help!!

There's nothing you can do, it's a Pay Pal thing.

Have a great day.

As @kensgiftshop  suggested, it is NOT something you can choose to display.  PayPal credit is between the buyer and PayPal.  As a buyer, I still see it displayed in the payment flow on occasion here and on other platforms that allow buyers to pay with PayPal.

Actually, it may not be a bad thing for you anyway.  Once, when I still sold here, I got a big fat red donut review from a buyer who complained that I advertised PayPal credit and then wouldn't let them use it.....

so.....even if it is advertised it does not mean the buyer can use it.  They have to apply using the application process first.

On a side note... I know you didn't ask, but....

You wasting A TON of keyword real estate if that's how you regularly do your titles.

All of those stars, quotation marks, exclamation points and the WOW should go.

I know nothing at all about coins, but aren't there any other descriptors you could use?

It is pretty common in the ebay coin world.

There is only so much to say and buyers search specific keywords.

Extra room, Sellers call.

Except that eBay specifically penalizes listings that do things like that, so THAT is far more likely to be a contributor to low sales than anything having to do with PayPal Credit.

Hey Ken,

If you look at some listings, you can see that it says PAY PAL CREDIT. That is an option

that PAY PAL allows you to pay it out over 6 months with no interest. EBAY took that

option off all my listings, therefore, buyers are not even allowed to apply for it. It's
not PAY PAL, i spoke with them and they advised me that they are not doing it. This just

happened as soon as accepted EBAY"S managed payments. When an item sells for

a large amount (over $100.00) the average customer would appreciate to be able to

pay off things with no interest charge and would buy more. Thanks for your input, but

i don't think your answer is correct. I still would like to be able to offer this PAY PAL

CREDIT option to my customers. I know it would help my sales, especially now at

holiday time.

One more time. That is something that is offered to BUYERS,(what the buyer sees) and has nothing to do with the seller offering it.    (see post #4)

@nightsjet ,

No, they didn't. Your listings do have PayPal credit on them. It's available to buyers who qualify for it. PayPal always make the PayPal Credit option available to me, whenever I pay for something.

You are absolutely correct. The listing you show does infact

show the PAY PAL CREDIT option available. However, i checked

it on my active listing page in my store, and it's not on there.

None of my listings shown on my computer have that option.

Why are you able to see it and i can't????

Like what kind of descriptors? I thought my descriptions

are pretty great. I take a lot of time and effort to make them.

Yes you are correct. But if the option is not allowed

on the listing they can't even apply to get it. I don't

find it on any of my listings in my store! I had it

on all listings before i got the managed payments.

No Ken it's an EBAY problem. I spoke to PAY PAL and

they advised they have nothing to do with it. I used

to have it on all my listings, and as soon as i went

with the managed payments, it was gone!

You don’t see it on your listings because, as the seller, it’s not available to you. You can’t buy your own item.

You may see it if you log out but I’m not sure. It doesn’t matter, buyers that qualify are seeing it.
