Page Views disappeared from my listings

I have several items listed for sale and they al had numerous "views".  As of yesterday all of the numbers in the view column have disappeared but one. which shows 5 and one item still shows 1 watch.  What happened?

this happened to me as well.  2 dashes showed up instead of the viewer number.  they didn't change this to something i have to pay for in my listing did they?  would greatly appreciate an answer.

Second that. It looks like view counts stopped registering several days ago. I'm watching my older listings and view counts rolling off, with my newer listings coming in and showing only hyphens in that spot on My eBay. If I go to my new listings, I find the view counter in its usual location, but showing only zeroes. At least the watch counter is still working.

Might be best to ask this question on the technical issues board.
That way ebay techs may be able to correctly disinform you.

It's a well known and documented "glitch", the views #s will come back eventually (not that they mean much anyway)

This is about the 4th or 5th time I have posted on one of these Views disappeared thread-a-rooskis.  Here is what I have been doing AND suggesting AND other have complied.  Go towards the upper right and click "Tell us what you think" then in that link check one of the Unsatisfactory boxes and then below that in the window type in the problem.  I have done this every day since the Views values disappeared this week (happened to conicnide with the Launch of the new Community here).  Here is a suggestion for typing something in "The Views numerical value is not being displayed, this is important information for Sellers because it shows there is actually activty on the site as well as activity on individual items for sale.  This info is importatn for Sellers who my decide to make changes on items in an effor to Enhance the Buying Experience."

@mr_lincoln: I did see your suggestion, and it's a good one. Frankly, I'm so unhappy at the sheer stupidity demonstrated by this fiasco of a Community Board redesign that I'm probably better off devoting my energies elsewhere until I've cooled down a bit. I have other IT industry clients who are more deserving of my attention than the ones running this project.

(On a more, ah, practical level, I'm sure that they're well aware of the View Count problem by now; I don't think one more report about it from me would have any effect. That's not to say that I won't cheerfully pile on to any discussion in which the number of voices raised can help to get the point across!)

Hey A-C, always good to hear from you and you are expressing pretty much what many others are.  As for the missing Views counter, no problem for not doing anything on it.  I have found that info very helpful for what I do, others don't use it and that's okay too.  I am just glad I was able to come back and find YOUR reply to MINE without getting the headache (yes, I am serious) I did the other day when this format went live.  I think we will see less involvement from Sellers in general here until they correct some of the obvious issues.  A picture is worth a thousand words ...

This "glitch" has been going so long (on and off) that, like other "glitches" they obviously don't care to fix what's broken.

@ymeagainlord (and @mr_lincoln😞 The reason I saw your reply to me was that you took the time to embed the @(user ID) ping functionality, and I got the notification in my email. Otherwise I'm afraid I probably would not have seen it due to the fast roll-off of posts now, since there are so fewer of them to fit on the first page of the group now. All it takes is just a few posts to noisy topics, and the rest of them roll off the bottom into oblivion (a/k/a "the next page").

I don't think it requires a tinfoil hat to wonder whether the excessive topic spacing on the page layout is in fact intended to encourage a quick roll off of topics, to reduce the number of noisy ones that get replies simply because other readers are noticing them while browsing the page. Once a topic falls off the first page, it no longer receives anywhere near as much attention from browsers.

I  try to fix myself for the better on an everyday basis, the issue here applies to me, therefore I take it personally.   I started selling a few months ago and try different ways of increasing sales. (Thank you ladies and gentelmen for your input, you are the best). Beeing able to see views on an item helps me tremendously.  On items I know are true vintage made by a well known Potter that just barely get 4 or 5 views a week, tells me my Title is all wrong and I need to incorporate better key words or the category needs to be changed.  Third I review my pictures and presentation, last but not least, is my price within range. Sorry, love the quote, but I am on my own and need all the help I can get.
