EDIT: Wait, is this information handled based on the Shipping Policy I select? IS this even needed?
New to the forums but I have done a lot of research and I'm running out of brain power to find the answer to this question.
I am looking for a comprehensive list of all the acceptable variable for the PackageType in the Exchange File.
The Advanced Instructions Handbook offers this information as acceptable values.
None, Letter, LargeEnvelope, PackageThickEnvelope,
USPSLargePack (works for all services), VeryLargePack ,
ExtraLargePack
However when searching the forums I found a user that indicated that there were variable such as USPSLargePackage and UPSGround. Where do I find the entire list? Do I go to shipping option when listing an item and try to determine what the variable would be based on the options when creating a shipping profile?
Thanks for the help.
However when searching the forums

Hi @gustontradingco ,
PackageType is needed if you're using calculated shipping. Weight would also be needed. If you're not using calculated shipping, neither PackageType or weight would be needed.
The values for PackageType on ebay.com have been somewhat simplified. You would choose from one of the following:
Letter
LargeEnvelope
PackageThickEnvelope
USPSLargePack
The last value works for different carriers, not just USPS.
If it is an irregular package, you could enter the number 1 in a column with the header ShippingIrregular.
The column headers for weight would be:
WeightMajor
WeightMinor
WeightUnit
You would enter the number of pounds in WeightMajor and the number of ounces in WeightMinor. Enter the letters "lb" (without quotation marks) in WeightUnit.
If you want to also include the package dimensions, the column headers would be:
PackageLength
PackageWidth
PackageDepth
As for names of services (such as UPSGround or USPSPriority) that can be entered in Shipping service n option, I'm going to send you an email with a file that will have all of the services.
