Package returned

Sold a CD to someone.   I received it back today from the USPS with these notes on the sticker: "Return to sender.  No mail receptacle. Unable to forward."  Not having this happen to me before, what is my next move?  I have sent her a note through the system, but no response so far.  Will this come back to hurt my good feedback record?  Thanks so much.

You've done your part and reaching out is over and above. Move forward thinking your feedback should reflect that.

Your next move would be to Cancel the Order (cite 'Problems with buyer's address') which will refund the buyer and reverse your FVFs. Should your buyer still want the item, you can relist and they can repurchase, using the correct address at checkout. Good luck.

To follow up... this person had no feedback until I gave her a positive one.  So she has one.

Hard for users like us to remember when we had no feedback, isn't it? They likely didn't check the address at all...

I would wait for buyer to contact me.

I would take a photo of package and writing on it to prove what happened and send it to buyer if they eventually contacted me.

Refunding a buyer who might not be registered on eBay any more...which has happened to me so many times.

Never had a buyer get back to me where is the item. The funds of the sale have never been taken away from me.

This recently happened to me (Dec.23). The note from USPS said "return to sender/unable to forward". I did not contact the buyer-I just waited a few days to see if they would contact me. They did not so I refunded the value of the item but not the shipping. Never heard anything from the buyer and just relisted the item.
