My store subscription renewed without any changes and Ebay charged me double for the same period see pictures and the dates. They charged me extra $29 for half month that they charhed me before for the whole month!

Shoot, I am sorry about that.
Ebay charged me at the start of my subscription for a whole month and not just the 10 days that it was.

There was an announcement about some sellers being affected with an invoice issue date change. Note that your $29.01 was a prorated amount for Feb 1-15. The full month is for Feb 16-Mar 15. It's all good.
Cross-posted. Yes... yours would have been a partial month, not a change in the invoice date. My bad.

No you are not correct. See 3 transaction dates. They charged me full month on 1/17 $59.99 (the period covers 1/16 thru 2/15) and the. They charge me again $29.01 for february 1-February 15 while I already paid for this time in full month amount.

Also, I was promoting my listings and someone sent em a message about a custom listing, So i sent them a link and guess what they bought it!!!
Well, I was shipping the item and saw that it had been sold as a promoted listing.
Well I messaged them and asked if they just went straight to the link and purchased it, they said yes........
WTW????
Ebay charged me like .50$ on a 12 dollar item?
(And I had it promoted at 1.8% not like 5%)
If you do not understand someone bought something from me buy clicking on a link I SENT THEM and I got charged because it was promoted.???
It was just a normal promotion not pay per click or any of those.
I see this repeatedly where listings get overcharged or I have to pay larger than normal fees.
I have been seeing this a LOT.
And I wouldn't be posting about it if I did not see it a lot.
Ebay is making millions off of these seemingly small charges...
???
Anyone seeing what I am seeing?
Or is just that my brain is screwed on wrong?

Can you explain what you mean by "sent me a message about a custom listing"?
I have no idea what this means. Can you explain exactly what happened?
02-19-2022 12:23 PM
umm...
I do not see where i said that.
I sent someone a link not the other way around.

Not sure of all your questions but if the buyer had clicked on the promoted listing and bought within I believe 30 days then that is how it is sold

If they want to prorate then they should prorate the month before as well —they charged me on 1.17– It was covering the time they charged me again “prorated” on 2.17 (covering 2.1-2.15)
02-19-2022 12:28 PM
Yeah, they really should

Sorry your thread got hijacked. I thought you may have been affected (initially) by this info, which I received in an eBay message on 1/22. Now I'm not so sure it applies to you... but I expect that I'll be seeing something like you display...
IMPORTANT: Beginning May 01, 2022, eBay will generate your monthly financial statements on the 1st of the month. You’ll receive a final mid-month financial statement covering the 16 days transitional period extending Mar 16, 2022 to Mar 31, 2022 on Apr 01, 2022. Moving forward, all financial statements will cover activity from the 1st day of the calendar month to the end of the calendar month.
Now, I don't think my body copy ^^^ applies to you, but I'm a '15th of the month' invoice. Hmmm...

Yeah the pictures are from charged in managed payments and nor financial statements or invoices. $29 is not little and if they charged me like that , they charged others . And that is a lot of money they are pocketing. Some people may not go through the transactions and may not be aware or they won’t pay attention to dates. This is terrible you can’t trust the company you do business with. The relationship should be honest.

I understand that.

Can you explain in detail what happened?
Did they message you about an existing listing and you sent a link to the existing listing?
Or did you create a new listing in response to their message, and send them a link to the new listing?
When did you promote the listing you sent them a link to?
The statement I quoted above does not really have enough information to go on.

Are you posting on the wrong thread? Your post seems to be starting in the middle of another conversation.

It's a typo. I believe that member meant to post:
"I was promoting my listings and someone sent em me a message about a custom listing . . . "
Noting the comment in Message #14, however, I also believe the member is posting on the wrong thread, since the OP's concern has nothing to do with promoted listings. 🤷
