Ive notice this a lot lately over pricing and ebay isn't doing anything about it. I've reported people for over pricing but ebay just says they can't find anything wrong.
I have been looking for a ps5 game called Ghost of Yotei collectors edition and in ps store of the playstation network the game cost £219.99p so why are people allowed to charge £340.00p. These people are just ripping buyers off id rather pay the £219.99p and leave these greedy people out of pocket to be honest.
Something needs to be done and done fast to stop buyers getting ripped off.

This is the USA.
There is no such thing as overpricing.
You can sell your widget for whatever you want.
People have the option to buy it or not.
God bless the USA.

Sellers can price their items for whatever price they chose, eBay will not dictate what a seller should price their items at.
Sellers price their items to feed their families, pay bills etc.. Who are you to say what a seller should charge for aPS5 game? If you don’t like what a seller charges find another seller or go elsewhere.

Except for essentials in a time of emergency, there's no such thing as gouging. (A PS5 isn't an "essential!")
Sellers can charge as much or as little as they want. If you can't afford a seller's price or if you don't like the price, find another seller with the item at a price you can afford.

Buyers need to do their research to see where they can get the best deal.
Since a game isn't a necessity, they can sell them for whatever they want.

You are wasting your time reporting. Move on to a seller with the price you want or just move on. Easy peasy.

So buy it there.
Problem solved!

The game you are looking for has not been released yet. The price you are seeing is presale. It is for people who can't wait and want it right away. Wait a few days or weeks after it has been released and you can get it at an even lower MSRP. If you can't wait, then pay the higher price.

Ebay does not control the pricing of sellers or even tries to control it. That is completely the decision of the seller.
Oddly Amazon does to this and they also compete with their sellers, so it can be very unfair. But Ebay does not compete with their sellers or try to control how much they can charge for an item.
With all that said, buyers can look elsewhere if the price is higher than they would like to pay no matter what site they see it on.

It is not over-price. It is demand. The price is usually based on demand. You say it in your post (Collectors Edition). An item is worth what one is willing to pay for it. If you do not feel the item is worth what is being askes don't buy it. Simple arithmetic 😋

It should really not be of any concern to you what sellers are asking for their items, There has been & always will be a large difference in pricing from one seller to another, & many things can play into that, some examples are condition, some sellers offer "Free" shipping, New or open box, & many others, But it should be no concern of yours.

With the fees and other charges involved with selling here most prices will be higher.

You lost me at, "I've reported people for over pricing."

Hopefully buyers are smart enough not to buy them on Ebay right now, since they can't even be listed right now.

So you are reporting sellers for pricing their game at prices you don't like. Do you honestly think eBay is going to tell sellers they need to reduce their prices because you want to buy it cheaper?
