Outright Users - Billing Issues

So about 3 hours ago (Jan 17), I got an email and an eBay message that my PayPal payment to Outright had been declined. The message was from billing at ebay and said that my Godaddy/Outright account was suspended because of it.

It's January, for cripes sakes ... I need my year-end stuff 😞

 

i looked at my 3rd party subscriptions. The invoice shows a payment on the 15th and a reversal on the 16th.

 

The email said to call PayPal.

 

PayPal has absolutely no record of a payment request .. the payment on the 15th or the reversal on the 16th,  There's no $69 transaction there ... declined or not 😞

 

They transferred me to eBay.....lalalalalala hold lalalalalala hold lalalalalala hold ... 20 minutes 😞

Go through everything with the first rep ... 10 minutes ... she needs to transfer me to billing ... lalalalala hold 8 more minutes ... Go back through everything with the second rep ... she can't help. Although the billing is done through eBay and eBay sent the email, eBay has nothing to do with the payment.

 

Call GoDaddy ... yay! an American english speaking person! Who is very nice and very helpful and who says I don't have a GoDaddy Account 😞  We go back and forth and finally find that I do have an account, but that GoDaddy does not handle the billing for eBay app accounts, he can't even see anything about me, not even my name, nevermind the billing agreement ... I need to call eBay 😞

 

Grrrrrrrrrrr.

 

I'm in no mood to call eBay back 😞

 

Are there any Outright users around here that might be able to point me in the right direction, or tell me who to talk to in eBay about this?

I believe on the Outright app you have to renew the subscription every year. Make the one time payment, then go to pay pal and renew the subscription.

What I'm afraid of is that some other poor seller is trying to figure out what the heck that charge was about 😞


I'm pleased I was able to help you.  And yes, I completely understand this doesn't solve the problem.  But at least now you can get to your information and you have some time to get everything figured out.  

 

You aren't the first seller this happened to and you won't be the last.  Similar situations happen on other payments for apps too.  One would think they'd have this all fixed by now since it is NOT a unique problem.

The same thing happened to me with last year payment. It was declined by Paypal, and when I called, they had no record of the decline. I had to use the one time payment option.

Aha, found the answer here:

Essentially you have to approve auto payments for the OUTRIGHT account.  I had your exact same problem, except couldn't even figure out how to make a one time payment.

I had the same thing just happened to me! EBAY says they have nothing to do with the email that has their letterhead on it from outright.com!  This invoice came through EBAY messages! I called godaddy also have no account there as i never set up one anyway! I think there's something fraudulant going on!

Again I never set up or authorized this account!

The fellow was nice at godaddy and said that they bought outright about 3 years ago!

He said he had no account for me! Back calling EBAY I get when the last person said they were frustrated with EBAY and the whole mess!

The weird thing is it says it's from EBAY
