A seller that I purchased from recently had sold me two perishable food items that were well out of date. I did not notice the items being out of date, until I went to open the packages (Pamela's Tigernut Flour). What is even more annoying is that the original listing does not state anything about the products being out of date. I had mistakenly gave the seller positive feedback, before discovering that the two packages of tigernut flour were 6+ months or more out of date. I messaged the seller regarding this issue. They never responded. Is there anything else that I can do? Very frustrated.

Annoying, but the flour is probably fine. Food doesn’t really have a cut off switch.
Any chance you’re still within 30 days? You could file on EBay for return based on “ not as described.”
And it’s 180 days at PayPal, I believe.

Yes, there is something you can do. If your seller will not cooperate in giving you a refund or otherwise won’t resolve the issue, go to the eBay resolution center and open an Item Not As Described claim. This is part of eBay’s Money Back Guarantee. The seller must provide a free shipping return label as part of your eligible benefits. If the seller remains uncooperative, ask eBay to step in. They will insure the refund happens.
It is against eBay’s terms of service to sell expired food. This seller needs to right this ship. Below is a link on how to open an eBay claim. Good luck, and sorry you ran into this snafu!

"Expired" food. Please research. Eggs can last up to SIX months if refrigerated. Not sure about 'tiger' flour but regular flour is good pretty much for years. Honey has a half life of forever as does sugar and salt. Anything preserved with sugar and vinegar, like pickles will last almost forever. Mustard, etc, no need to refrigerate. Hot sauce no. All these companies and the dates are for their protection, not ours.
We, as humans made it this far, didn't we....and yes people died of food borne illnesses, but we have come a long way since then. Rinse the veggies, and cook the meat to 160 degrees at least. Be aware, and use common sense, if it smells off, throw it out. But don't waste food.

It is against eBay policy to sell expired food. The seller isn't allowed to sell it on eBay PERIOD. It doesn't matter if it is still good or not, eBay does not allow expired food to be sold.

I sell lots food items on ebay. I would NEVER knowingly sell anything that was expired.
When my items get close to expiring, i lower the price. If they do expire i end the listing and give the items to the local homeless. I've posted about that before.
Message your seller again. If it is a reputable seller, they should issue you a full refund without question. I would.
If not, file a "not as described" complaint. You have to assume if you are buying a food product on ebay that it's not expired.
Good luck and stay safe!
