Just had to cancel an order that should have had UPS Ground calculated, but instead was $0. Anybody else experience this?

Did you perhaps use sell similar or sell one like this from another listing? Most of your listings show last updated January 4th of this year so maybe go and recheck your listing policies. You also have 304 other listings listed with free shipping USPS first class...

No, but I've had what should have been PM calculated come up as FCP for $5.

What item was it so we can check the shipping on our end. (Was it the mercury globe? That is showing as UPS Ground.)
I have had the shipping calculator get it wrong only once in over 12 years of my selling. It was on an international sale. It showed calculated domestic shipping instead of showing the international cost. Buyer paid, snd rather than go thru the hassle of canceling and relisting for the customer to re-buy, i ate the extra cost and shipped the package.

It is usually something simple. Did you forget to put in the weight or something? The calculator is missing some important info. We all do it from time to time.

We just had this happen on an order the other day. I received a message from the customer that it wouldn't let them check out without an invoice, so I sent them an invoice (it was within less than a day after they placed the order), but the invoice page gave me an error like it hadn't sent. A few minutes later, they had paid, but for the item price without shipping. In this case, we ate the loss because it wasn't that much, but I'm a little worried it'll happen again with something more significant.

Your problem is likely for a different reason that the OP's. If your buyer's ship to address was not a place you had shipping set up for, then it does require an invoice from you for the buyer to pay.
The OP's issue is they likely did not have the information in the shipping calculator correctly.

Thanks everybody for the replies. We don't list using Sell Similar because there is a good chance of missing something that we would need to change, especially now with the condensed listing format.
This is the original listing that we had to cancel:

The mercury glass ornament was listed the same day, and it did sell correctly with UPS calculated, but it sold on 5/13, the stand sold on 5/12. Both were on sale, however the stand sold as a Best Offer, the mercury ornament was a direct purchase.
We have had a handful of orders that we couldn't send invoices lately, and the plant stand was definitely one of those. Send invoice would just get a generic red error page. Happened mostly last week, at the same time there was something else not working correctly that we can't exactly recall but had said that the invoices not working were probably part of a larger issue with Ebay.

My guess is it was an issue with eBay. I took a look at your original listing as well as the relist and both show shipping costs. Did you touch base with your buyer to see if they had actually received an invoice from eBay when the sale was consummated?

Good suggestion, we'll check with the buyer. And ask what type of device they used (PC, Mobile App Apple/Android, etc) as well. Likely that's not the cause but we did see quite a few posts regarding the recent App update broke functionality. Would think it have to be internal/back-end.

Your situation sounds nearly identical. We had a handful of orders this past week that the invoices would not send and give a generic red error page. Just went through the past 2 weeks and looks like it was only this order, thankfully. Was your shipping flat or calculated? And was it to a location you didn't have an option for?

It seems like the APP updates tend to have the most issues/problems. As an FYI the information and screen shots I sent were from a desktop computer not from the APP which I don't use. My eye's are not that good. 😁

Wasn't the case in this instance, though it could of course be different than the OP's issue. Just an order to someone in the States (we're also US-based).
