Buyer messages me saying he ordered item by mistake. The buyer told me he wishes to cancel. I had already printed and paid for a shipping label now I cannot cancel the order. I tried editing the shipping label and clicking on the cancellation button which results in no progress except a message of "Cancel Exists" or something to that effect. How can I cancel this, I do not wish to ship an item to someone who doesn't want it.

I like to wait an hour after receiving order before printing the label just in case the buyer has remorse. If you want to cancel the order you can void the shipping label (it takes 2-3 weeks for refund) and then cancel the sale. You are not under any obligation to cancel the order once the shipping label is purchased. The buyer will have to return the item at his expense.

Go to ORDERS, SHIPPING LABELS (cancel label). Then you need to refund money to customer, go to ORDERS, AWAITING SHIPPING (cancel transaction using reason "buyer requested").

Sending the order just because you have already printed the label puts you at a high risk for a return. Then you won't get reimbursed for the original outgoing postage.
The order is a number of steps farther along and that is why the option to Cancel doesn't work.
Go to your Orders Paid and Shipped screen. Find the transaction and click on the down arrow on the left. Then click on issue a refund.

Go to your Label Management screen and void the label.
