I started a second account to sell on and needed more listings. I bought the cheapest store option because it said I can get 250 extra listings. The extra listings haven't appeared yet. Does it take some time for them to show up? It's been well over 2 years since I opened a store on my main account, so I forgot how it works.

A Starter store doesn't get 250 extra listings; it gets just 250 free insertions. Same as if you had no Store.

Makes sense now, thank you for the response.

You used to get free listings with a starter store, but now you don't I canceled my subscription and just use my freebies.

You got 250 free listings with a Starter Store back in the day when a non-Store account only got 50 free listings. When the 250 were given to all sellers a Starter Store became mostly pointless (still has some benefits).

I upgraded to the "basic" $28 option that says 1000 listings and they still aren't showing? It still shows that I have 200

i have a starter store and i havent filled all my listings but i have npot seen any sign that i dont get 250 "free" listings plus 250 that come ith the store. i still have a listing cap of 500 listings as i understand it btu im not 100% sure youre getting 100% accurate information. if it says 250 you get 250 they cant advertise 250 that everybody gets as a benefit of a store. that would be a good way to be sued. it is confusing by how it shows how many listings youve filled. my advise would be to fill the listings and see what happens.

Store benefits should show right away. the Basic store gets 250 auction-format insertions (in select categories) and 1000 fixed price insertions.

Unless I'm mistaken @lloopin you should see both the 1K listings and the 250 listings for the remainder of October, then in November you will see only the 1K. (Plus the 50K in select categories.) If you're not seeing the 1K then click the link at the bottom to see all active promos.

I think he doesn't get to use up those 250 free insertions from the starter store, even if the counter hasn't disappeared from his page, just as he didn't get to use up the remainder of the 250 from his non-store benefit. This is from the Store TOS, which uses the term "Zero insertion fee" (ZIF) even though nobody else does:
When upgrading your Stores subscription (i.e. changing your Stores subscription level to one with more benefits, or changing from a monthly subscription to a yearly subscription of the same subscription level):

Yeah, that's correct @nobody*s_perfect , but I wasn't referring to the 250 starter store listings. Those would immediately be replaced by the 1K basic store listings as you quoted above. What I was referencing are the 250 listings for non-stores.
Unless eBay changed things, the seller would still get the rest of their 250 non-store listings for the remainder of the calendar month they opened the store, on top of their store listings. At least that's how it was last time I signed up a new account for a store.

I'm pretty sure that I've seen new store subscribers complain about losing those 250 immediately. Why would they not lose them, since they no longer have non-store status?.

Yeah, I don't know. It never made sense to me, but that's how it used to work. Very possible eBay changed things as I haven't opened a new store in several years.
If OP checks their promotions they should be able to confirm one way or the other. Perhaps they are willing to post a screenshot of their active promotions section.
