Only three items

I understand that new sellers can only sell 10 items initially. I don't understand why I can only have three items for sale. Why can't I list 10 items?

You've sold 7 so you have 3 left to list which you did. I believe you have wait until one of the 10 rolls over the 30 day mark which would be Aug. 19th, or until the next item sells. As each item sells you can add another always keeping the total at 10.

eBay is not transparent on these matters, so there are no published criteria on how limits are established. But here in the forums, there are some new sellers who are limited to one item, not to exceed $10 a month. Compared to that, you are much better off.

Use this waiting time to learn the vast policies that govern the site. That will help facilitate the process, because running afoul of the rules can interfere with getting one’s limits raised.

Good luck and wish you much success.

Monthly limits are for listed/sold items.

7 sold + 3 listed for sale = 10 items (monthly limit)

I've sold only 1. I had two offers, but they were bogus.

Why does everyone think I sold seven? I sold one.

@warich7, eBay shows that you have sold seven items this month.

You need to complete these transactions successfully before you can expect your selling limits to be increased. If these buyers have not paid, let us know so we can advise you how to deal with that.

@warich7   So, you are saying you did not sell that shirt, that coffee cup, that purse, that doll, and that vase?

All except one had buyers that didn't pay. The only one that sold was the Rare Ken Edwards...

There were a few scammers which I reported, but never heard back.

Stop running auctions. List the items for fixed price the amount you want to get for them and you will stop having the "not paying" and scammer problem entirely. Ebay stopped being primarily auctions many years ago. Most full time sellers rarely or never use them anymore.

For everyone of those that did not pay >

If a buyer hasn’t paid within 4 days, on the 5th day you can go to your Seller Hub to cancel the transaction using the “Buyer hasn't paid” reason and this gives the buyer a strike and you can relist.

And set your buyer blocks to 2 strikes in 12 months.

Absolutely correct.  It is 10 items per month.

When a seller desires to increase their selling limits, they are allowed to request an increase once every 30 days. Mark your calendar and every 30 days request an increase until you have your selling limit well above anything you think you will ever need. Below is a link to where you can go to ask for a selling limit increase. It is the third option in the link below.

I can see you have had quite a run of bad luck.  Sadly they all count towards you 10 items per month.  Once it is a sale, it counts against the 10.  After you have been selling for at least 30 days, then you can request Ebay to raise you selling limit as I described in my other post.

That is right. I didn't sell them. The people didn't pay.

They still count towards your monthly selling limits.  I know it doesn't sound right, but it is how they do things.

You will need to contact Ebay for further clarification and potentially some help on how to get around that if possible at this time.

Here are your options for contacting Ebay Customer Service.

If when you use the link below you can only get to the Automated Assistant, type AGENT in the box and hit enter. You will then get more options.
