Fee and shipping increases are a given. There are millions of sellers who sell items on eBay that they CAN sell elsewhere and like @ebooksdiva said, they build the fees and shipping into the price of their items to offset any increases.
I assume you are a seller so if you really feel eBay's fees or terms or conditions are ridiculous, I hope you will heed your own advice and limit yourself to only selling items you cannot sell elsewhere; that way, since you won't be selling as many items, you won't be paying as many of those "ridiculous fees".
If you don't want to sell on eBay, don't. But don't expect others to do the same.
