I always look at all buyers feedback if the item is $40+ but now I need to hunt for their feedback. To see the kind of feedback they leave others of course.
Certain times I've gotten a scammer and video taped the packaging right in front of our USPS postmaster handing the item to him right then. We live in a small town of 100-125 folks and he is my neighbor.
They are transitioning to SELLER HUB so I believe are trying to take that feature away. Once I actually had to use the find a member to get their ebay moniker and feedback as quick as possible.
Do you all do this?

I rarely look at a buyer's feedback but if you are using the newish my ebay sold page, you can click on the buyers real name which will bring you to their ebay profile. There is a feedback link there. Or, click on order details and their ID will be shown.
Sellers hub does show their ebay ID on the sold page.

For myself, I don't research all my customers or potential customers. But if I have the need to look at a buyer, I always check their FB left for others. That can be very telling. It is easy to see and often has useful information.
The FB they receive is not likely to give you an accurate picture of the buyer as they can only receive positive FB from sellers.

I do not monitor buyers before or after the sale. In the seller hub under all four options for orders
You have a section titled username which includes a link to your buyers feedback page. I would probably use that link to do what you are requesting to do?
Is this something new you are seeing? I just checked and I can see the info I described?

No, I never check buyers feedback, if they pay, I ship.

No, I don't. If a buyer ever gives me problems later on, they are blocked.

The OP is referring to the new version of the My eBay Sold page, not Seller Hub.
On the My eBay Sold page it shows the buyer name, and their name is a hyperlink to their profile page. They removed the eBay user name and feedback score, but all the OP has to do is click on the buyer's name if they want to review the buyer's feedback.
To answer the OP -no, I do not research my buyers.

Yes it is something new I am seeing.
Ebay is transferring their old classic pages to ultimately, Seller Hub. So there will be changes along the way. Tomorrow, 1 hr, whatever could be a whole new day

"waste of time and energy?" It's had me winning the case and neg feedback removed and only done if I expect to be scammed. I highly recommend it.
Are you a seller because it shows you have no feedback and are brand new.
Maybe this is another account?

Posters on the threads often time use a Posting ID. So don't assume because you look at their posting ID that you can tell if they are a seller or what size seller they may be.

I’ve never heard of eBay actually looking at a video like that. Was this recently?

I don’t think it has anything to do with sellers hub, it’s just a new my eBay page that is not the same as the SH sold page.
