One less feedback

Sometime today i had one less feedback than i did yesterday. The last time that happened to me was some years back and i ended up getting a negative. That's what i thought may have happened this time, but i did not. For all the years i been selling on here i have never seen it go down unless i received a negative.

It's not a big deal what so ever, just found it odd and interesting. How does something like that happen? Can some retract a positive feedback? Or could it of been something else?  🙂

Buyers whose accounts are suspended within 90 days of registering have any and all feedback they have left  removed.

At least this was policy at one time.

If you look at your FB page you will see that the details of your numbers if for a one year period.

So today your FB count in this area on your FB page would be for 10/8/18 to 10/9/19.  Tomorrow it will be for 10/9/18 to 10/10/19.  And so forth.

So if you got more FB a year ago on this date than you received this year, your FB count will go down tomorrow.  That is just how it has always worked.  It is on the LAST 12 months or a fiscal year, depending on what makes sense to you.

if any account gets closed, feedback for the past 90 days are removed.

The count on the FB page may go down as it's for up to 12 months, but your ACTUAL FB count does NOT fall off.

It's most likely a 90 days or less NARU buyer whose FB has been removed or an "abusive' buyer whose FB has been removed for ALL sellers regardless of whether the FB was positive (which personally I think is "abusive' to the seller lol)

Sorry if I added any confusion.  I did have a pic of the area on the FB page I was speaking about.

Nope, it is (or was) only accounts shut down within 90 days of registering. In addition it didn't matter if eBay suspended the account or the user closed it by their own choice (possible for buyers but not for sellers).

Since not that many buyers leave me feedback, i did a quick search of all the people who purchased from me and left feedback in the last 90 days and i found the culprit. One of them is no longer registered. I only wasted 5 minutes finding them. Well that's solved. lol

While this is certainly a reason that FB counts can change for the current 12 month period we are in, it is important to understand the point I made earlier in this thread as well, as it is usually the reason for the FB count change.
