Hello,
I have a Buy It Now listing. This listing is also setup to receive offers. Recently, I have noticed an issue. I will accept a buyers offer and it goes into Pending - Awaiting Payment. However, these buyers never pay for the item. Some of these Pending Awaiting Payment offers were accepted over 2 weeks ago. There is no option for me to cancel the order. I also cannot adjust quantity on the listing until there are no "Pending Offers" on the listing. Anyone else have this issue or a resolution?
Chatted with eBay tech support about it as well. Their suggestion was to end the listing and re-list, but some of these listings I have 300+ watchers and they would all be gone if I ended the listing! Trying to avoid starting a new listing so as to not lose the watchers. I have attached screenshots.

Those items stay active after you've accepted the offer so if another interested buyer want to purchase, they can do so.
There's nothing to cancel and in cases like this, you aren't losing any exposure.

FWIW, I don't think it's a good idea to sell multiples of the same "pre-owned" items a single listing with the same pictures! Their conditions can't all be identical! That's a NAD waiting to happen.
And those quantities of all those iPads! Yikes! I wonder how long it'll be before you come back complaining that ebay is holding your funds and wanting receipts.

I understand they stay active until paid, but there is now 0 quantity left and I cannot add more quantity to the listing until there are no more "Pending Best Offers". See the top picture. I just want to add more quantity.

Wow, that's a pretty snarky reply. I have never had an issue with my listings as they are all described fully in the listing. They are similar pictures because they are all iPads, but they are indeed different pictures. And if you look closely, they are different models. 6th vs 7th vs 8th gen. Just a tech issue I wanted to try to figure out. Never had an issue with funds on hold or anything.

Those items stay active after you've accepted the offer ...
@albertabrightalberta
Actually, if this seller ACCEPTS an offer from a buyer (that is not a counter offer), the buyer should be auto-billed right away. @bderecycling requires a payment source upfront BEFORE a buyer can make an offer, thus Acceptance should result in "auto-pay" by the buyer's chosen source.

Correct. And I believe the issue is either their card declined or didn't have enough funds for whatever reason. However, I thought unpaid offers were supposed to auto-expire after 4 days. This has been an accepted offer from the 8th of November.

I've noticed that when you accept an offer they aren't visible anywhere (as orders) it's just pending until the buyer pays. Can't say it's an improvement because it's actually confusing and doesn't bring you any new type of information — at least in the app.

I'm a new seller and when I tried to accept the offer from the buyer on the app i would keep getting an error message until finally it went thru. It went back to the listing page of the item and I didn't receive any message that I accepted the buyer's offer. I'm looking, trying to find this offer and it's gone. I did finally find it in the manage offers dropdown window. I was under the assumption that if the buyer made the offer and I accepted it, payment would then be automatically billed right away instead I have to wait 4 days. On the computer same results, hard to find this offer. Can't find it in awaiting payments just in manage offers. Too much digging around for a newbie, make it simple. What happens after the 4th day and no payment?

Hi bderecycling,
I noticed your post regarding the issue with "Pending - Awaiting Payment" offers on Buy It Now listings, where buyers never pay, and it blocks adjustments to the listing. I’m currently facing the same problem and would really appreciate it if you could share whether you were able to resolve this issue, and if so, how you managed it.
Thanks in advance for your help!

@bderecycling
You also require a buyer to put up a payment source prior to making an offer. If you accept such an offer, your buyer should be billed automatically. If that is not happening, kyle@ebay suggests to contact customer service. He says the policy has not changed, each time he has been asked. So long as you keep the "Buyer Rules" eBay gave you in place, your buyer should be auto-billed. If you accept 10 offers from the same buyer, their payment source will be billed for ten separate transactions, each paid at full price without the ability to combine items for one shipping cost.
Understand this is ONLY for offers that a buyer sends to you (aka buyer initiated offer). If you send offers, or accept a counter offer from a buyer. the procedure is different. These will remain for sale until somebody pays for them. You cannot send reminders or invoices for multiple accepted counter offers. You cannot file the Unpaid Item Cancellation for accepted counter offers that are ignored by the buyer.
