October can't end soon enough

Will be glad to see October come to an end.  In the last week of Sept, I had 23 sales.  In the entire month of Oct, I had 32.  I just hope Nov. isn't a repeat of Nov 2017 when it was the worst month of the year.  My hopes are not high.  Good luck to all.     🙂

Sometimes it feels like halloween is the kickoff party for the whole cheerful christmas season. Excited!

You may want to check your asking prices. Many of your items are really not that scarce and not much of a demand. What you have can take lots of time to get a buyer. One mag I looked at you want $40 with shipping and others are selling the same thing for under $10. Eventually you will have to decide to make less profit per item and get items out the door faster.

I'm not sure which one you are talking about?  If it is the issue with Bobby Hull on the cover - it is autographed.  I wouldn't ask higher prices on magazines unless they are signed.  Also - I always allow for offers.  if they don't like my price, ask for lower.   🙂  Sold 2 items, recently, for $20-25 less than my listed price.  Have a good night.

Waiting for October to be over as well, I had 6 sales for October as well as the last 3 months.. Guess thats all I am allowed, Maybe In November I can shoot my goal higher and get 7...... Crazy, Good Luck All!

Last Nov was a *&^*&^ disaster here for me. This October sucked as I was down 15% over last year while working twice as hard

lowest sales Month in 2018 for me too !! I had a drop of 75 % .

The sales of a few do not always reflect the sales of the masses (particularly on this negative board).

Our sales have been strong all through October ... 3rd best month this year, and close to the best month of the year.

A somewhat, say, restrained optimism. Without optimism, one wouldn't even try, in this case, sell, but restrained, because one also has to be prepared for the potential negative outcome.

It's interesting how a multitude of factors, e.g., economy, politics, personal matters, Ebay's policies & programming, etc, can affect the probability of what and how much potential buyers are purchasing.

I had a goal to push listing and get (most) everything listed. I've succeeded in my goal and my inventory is overflowing (I sell books so full bookcases).  One of my challenges is deciding on auctions versus fixed price. I use them for book lots. There are good arguments against auctions but sometimes they help me move product. 

Being in  used books I do not get the surge of holiday sales like others do. I do better in January and February.

My sales were pretty good especially in the last week of Oct ,, but then volume always increases  this time of year for my particular  business . I think I'm up 56 % right now . I suspect  sales will improve for you shortly as well . However my black cat does agree with you  about  Oct . not ending fast enough . He's been grounded the last three nights  because of the loons  that like to pick on black cats this time of year .  He finally went out this morning with a spring in his step  🙂  Tulips
