Hi everyone, I just started selling on ebay last month and had a question about number of listings per day. I've read that the ebay algorithm likes lots of constant activity (i.e. posting all or most days as opposed to many postings on one day only). But does anyone know if there is a better day to post more as opposed to less? For example, is it better to post 2 listings each day during the week and then 3 or 4 per day on the weekend? Or does it not matter. I know the more listings overall the better but if i can't post the same number each day has anyone found days that are better overall?
Also if anyone can take a quick look at my store and give me any constructive criticism or what can be improved, I would appreciate it!

I would list a group of listings every day or every other day, depending on how much you list and what you're selling. It's true that platforms reward activity to one degree or another. Seller engagement and recency are important - you want to keep the pot boiling, so to speak.

The best way to list is as Fixed Price with Immediate Payment required
Using that FP model, list any day you want.
Auctions can run 3, 5, 7 or 10 days so I would work out the day you list so that the auction ends on a weekend.

We try to list a few listings each day - if only to re-list a few items. You can do a bunch in drafts and stagger their release. Good luck!

It takes about 24 hours for an item to appear in search. So if you want it to show for the weekend, Thursday probably would be the best day to list those items. (that way you get Friday night shoppers).
Listing a few items per day does seem to help.

Many of your items seem to say pick up only. You might want to work out why.

I post listings almost every day (usually the days I don't are Friday to Sunday, pending on what's going on... I try to post a bunch Monday-Thursday). I have been posting 50+ listings a day, but I have around 1000 things to list right now. When I have fewer things to list, I would list 5-10. I try to get a few in on the weekends even though I'm busy with family time and packing and shipping stuff. I have quantity of some items and I will go and list another one to save time and get the job done.

Not necessarily. I list things many times in the evening to have them sell a few hours later. Sometimes things sell within a few minutes if someone has a saved search for one of my keywords. The search is obviously doing something if these things are selling so fast.

Where did you read this?
Maybe in this forum? How many times have you seen someone post that they started listing more items every day and their sales went up. I find when I have other things going on and I don't list for a week, my sales drop by quite a bit.

Engagement and activity are two aspects in most algorithms on seller platforms, particularly social media selling, which this isn't, but it still rewards engagement - @sin-n-dex example is one.

Engagement is the listing, but I think I have activity too (postcards are low priced items and people don't mind spending a buck or two on a souvenir). There has been lots of activity since the postcards showed up a couple of weeks ago... but the dollar amount is not so high as there are many $1.49 sales.

I do a lot of social media selling and activity is essential - if I'm not engaging on a very frequent basis on my account, I just sink out of sight. This makes selling on sites like Poshmark a lot of work (more than here where I just slap up 5 listings a day or whatever I can scrape up) and, yes, listing stuff that people actually want is important.
So it's just being consistent in whatever one does.
ETA: Especially important for small sellers in crowded categories like myself - it's too easy to get trampled underfoot.

List every day if you can.

I can sign out from my account, and find my new listings in search within minutes after posting them.
