First time ever my store fees are more than my monthly sales.

i 'm a top rated seller with approx 500 items listed over 2 IDs, and 1.02% defect rate. BUT NOTHING SEEMS TO BE SELLING FOR WEEKS NOW.

This place has turned into a freaking ghost town.

I wil be cancleing my store subscription unless i can see a turnaround this month. It no longer make sense to spend any time around here.

I just lost my top rated seller status,why because I did'nt have the required 100 sales for the year. Postage will be higher because of no discount. If I tack on the additional postage sales will decline even more. I had a hard time as it was competing with the large sellers. Time to hang it up do your best for your customers and e-bay has the 100 sales goal you must meet, amount of money means nothing just the number. Last summer was horrible sale wise,it will be the same or will get worse because of the RIVER. Have No desire to continue with such a flawed system. Get rid of my goods and call it quits LOL

The auction format is dead or dying , which is why eBay attempts to persuade sellers to use BUY IT NOW option ... although ebay doesn't receive as much from growing prices , they get paid quicker, & more often !

Most popular tech sites have their 5-7 year run ... ask AOL, MySpace , YAHOO & soon to be FACEBOOK ! eBay hasn't done anything wrong , users are just finicky !

That's odd. They're always trying to get me to do auction format with no minimum bid. I'm giving it a try with two listings...but they have a minimum bid that I would sell for if push came to shove.

Auctions are a thing of the past on e-bay,unless it's a car maybe. I had great success with the 10% above auction price then they went to 30%, I can't list that way. So that killed auctions for me. LOL

Nope. I sell almost entirely stuff from my closet/attic/garage that I want to get rid of and my sales have been quite steady since I started selling.

Agreed, I have basically given up on the auction format. Unless it's something I know isn't worth much and just definitely want it out of the house soon.

Yep. I lost my TRS on one ID when they cut the freebies down to 20/20 and sales drop followed the listing drop.

eBay has become a lopsided buyers market , w/far more sellers, than buyers . No seller protection w/growing buyer scam : cheating buyer receives item , files a claim stating they didn't , & PayPal 99% of the time will reimburse buyer . Even w/a tracking number & signature confirmation , seller is left out to dry . Win-win for the buyer !

There's room for improvement in any business . The sellers inability to leave negative feedback needs to be reformed because buyers have become way too entitled to white glove treatment .

With 80 million americans stuck at home for 2 - 4 days due to snow storm. I would expect my sales would increase. Instead sales dropped. My sales for Januray were good until January 17th. Then they tanked to no sales or 1 cheap item a day.

Called ebay was told to try the new Pay To Promote option. I already pay for a Store and final value fees, Now they want me to add on paying additional 1 to 20 percent on top of that to promote my listing.if sold.
