Not informed of offer in time

I received an email from eBay yesterday evening at 19.52 informing me that I had an offer on an item I’m selling.

I saw it within 20 mins, went straight to eBay to accept, only to discover that the offer was a 24 hour offer made that previous afternoon which had expired already.

Very annoyed as been trying to sell the item for a while and wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue?

Thanks,

Duncan

Yes, I am sure many sellers have had similar issues when a buyer only checks the 24 hour timeframe. That is the reason why sellers who ask for offers must go to their Ebay summary once a day. There is not much else you can do when buyer checks the 24 hour timeframe.

Hi Duncan. Sometimes eBay's alerts and messages are not timely. To compensate for this, I check in multiple times a day to see what is happening with my business. Every once and awhile they fail to alert me when a sale has taken place. About the only way to combat the problem is to manually check on everything throughout the day.

eBays emails are not reliable and often lag - never trust them. check your account several times a day for messages.
