Hello guys!
I currently have up about 100 listings and I'm beating the competition on price, placement, shipping time, returns, and discount opportunitys an almost ALL of the listings. I check and update them every day just to make sure I'm doing everything right and staying ahead of the competition. Any reason I might not be getting sales?
PS - I have 100% positive feedback too.

Searching for Rubbermaid 2 gallon Beverage container and yours does come up first in search - but when you look at solds - they are selling for $4-$6 less than your price. Also people don't like drop shippers who take their order and then order it and have it shipped from another retailer - be it Walmart, Amazon, Home Depot - so that may be why your gardening / hardware isn't moving.
With just a 2 feedback buyers may also be leery if they'll receive a product at all. I'd sell things around your house to build up some feedback before venturing out into drop shipping

Yes profits are slim right now. So you suggest testing a new niche?

You're being throttled, nothing more.
eBay only allows you to sell a certain amount in a certain amount of time, then they will cut you off.
I don't care what anyone says about how they don't do that, they absolutely do. Your sales are being redirected to other sellers to make it "fair" so that they don't get discouraged and leave eBay. Have you ever noticed that when you debate shutting it all down since it's so dead, suddenly for no reason your sales come back?

Yea I have heard people say this before but at a company standpoint it does not make much since. More sales = more money for ebay. Plus all my listings are at the top of search and getting plenty of views so they are definitely not pushing my listings down. Unless your saying eBay is denying people from buying from me idk what's going on..

They will pretty much be non existent on quite a few of your products.
For example all your DVDs and Video games. Especially the ones you have priced at $5. If you purchase your shipping on line, you will be paying between 2.75 and 3.09 to ship them, depending on where they are going in the USA.
Your 5 Oz Glue will cost most likely around 3.60 to ship.
Some of your other liquid garden supplies you are going to end up paying more for shipping than you are going to be getting paid for the product.
It looks like you did not add the cost of shipping to your other costs of the product you are selling to then come up with what price you need to sell it for.
I'm sharing this in the spirit of helping you. Before you lose a bunch of money because you aren't charging enough money for the products.

Do you have an eBay store? eBay is pay to play now the more you spend with them the more "visibility" eBay will give you.

FYI - eBay makes it's money from the sellers FEES not the items actually selling.

Then Ebay isn't making much money because most sellers that have been on the threads complaining about GTC have said they only list up to their free allotments each month and due to GTC they are concerned they may go over those limits. So if all these sellers only list up to their free allotments each month on what listing fees is Ebay making all this money on?

I think purchasing from drop shippers depends on the product being sold and how well the seller handles drop shipping. Sometimes it is better purchasing from a drop shipper, especially on things that have a shelf life or storage issues.
For example, fragrances. That is what I drop ship. I don't have the facilities to properly store large quantities of fragrances. Fragrances stay fresher and last longer kept it a climate controlled room or in a dark cool place. Fragrances can sour or lose their scent when stored incorrectly.
I think what upsets some is that if they get something they ordered from Ebay in another retailer's box. Then they think that it must have been cheaper on that other site and get mad. If it is cheaper, then that isn't on the seller, the buyer has not been hindered from shopping on other sites. They choose to purchase on Ebay.
I've had this happen when buying on Ebay. Getting stuff from Amazon. I was annoyed at myself too. But then I looked on Amazon and what I ordered on Ebay was not cheaper on Amazon. I know that most things that I sell on Amazon are cheaper on Ebay because the Ebay fees are less.
But you are absolutely correct. If one is going to entertain drop shipping. There are good ways and bad ways of doing it. Some think it is a easy way to make a buck, but then those would be the same sellers that aren't willing to put in the work required to do it properly and with the best interest of your customers in mind. Which is what cause buyers to get a bad taste in their mouth regarding drop shippers.

Totally agree! Today I'm getting sales pretty fast. I started getting them right after I got more good feedback. Feedback is huge I think and it must be the main factor as to why I'm not getting sales. It's definitely not eBay trying to slow it. I promote all my listings so why would they want to demote me when I give them tons of cash.
