For 4 days now , my 2 items did not receive any views . I revised them few times and still no views . eBay keeps telling that i can promote my items for a fee . I did not have this issue a while ago when i was selling here .

If your listings are getting impressions but no views, either your items are placing poorly in the search. Promotion might help.

If your items are in the top 20% search positions. the problem is your item or your listing. No one wants to click through and read them.

You have only two listings. They are not unique. They are high priced products in a class with many listings. I have not checked for direct competitors but suspect there are many, and that some are less expensive than your offers.

Many cable companies are upgrading their customers to gateways which are combined routers/modems and the demand for routers is dropping.

@kensgiftshop

Me too! I'm surprised at the views I'm getting and do not use PL.

Try using your social media apps to network your items.  At the top right hand side of your page where it reads "Share", attach your items you are selling to what ever apps you use and let em fly.  It has worked to get not just views, but sales too!

Good luck to you!

We automatically have all our items posted on Pinterest that we list on eBay.  I don't know currently if that's helping sales (we don't even have any followers on Pinterest), but it's kinda cool nevertheless.  Definitely social media can have an impact, you're right!

You only have 2 items listed and sales tend to go up and down on eBay all the time. Of course eBay is going to tell you that you can promote the items that is nothing but more money for them. You may also want to consider opting into the EIS program and expand your sales internationally rather than just domestic. The seller protections under EIS far exceed what they are for domestic sales.

Some of it may also have to do with your pricing. I did a quick search on one of your items and found the following.

If I was searching I wouldn't click on the Netgear because it looks like drop shipping.

When you 'revise' your item, it has to re indexed.  For the hours it takes for that to happen, they are not visible to be viewed.

Every time you revise your listing it can take up to 24 hours to "index" and be uploaded.

So I would be surprised if it has shown at all in the past 96 hours because of the constant changes.

Only about 40% of listings actually ever sell.

With Fixed Price listings you can set it and forget it. It will relist automatically after 30 days.

While I use Promoted Listings, I only use it on older listings and only at the 2% minimum fee.

I did a search for the other item (Netgear) and found LOTS of them and most were $50 - $75 less than your listing.

Your lack of views are almost certainly the price. The only ones that are priced similar to yours are New In Box. Also doesn't help that there are lots listed so plenty of choice for buyers, no need to look at the overpriced ones.

I also see that your main image looks like a stock photo that I see on several other listings, stock photos on a used item is not a good thing.

Us as well. The last 6 months have drastically changed our shop.  Hanging in there and keep on going.

That's all we can do.

Have a Happy Easter week.

Your comparing my router with a router that someone is selling for 90 bucks. The condition of my router is different. That router is over 300 bucks brand new . Mine is lightly used and in excellent cosmetic condition. Also, I was not saying that I was selling items, I was saying that I'm not getting views. That is different than actually selling an item. I sold on eBay before and even though I would need to wait a few days to sell an item , I got lots of views, now eBay won't let a lot of people get views on their items because they want you to pay more for that promotion option. Those routers I put for sale are worth over 300 bucks brand new or at least near 300 bucks . I'm not going to sell them for few bucks . Also , I revised that one with the stock photo because I need time to get an original photo. I had an original photo there but I changed it . I might as well open a business account on Amazon and sell my items. They are offering me a free business account there . You won't find those routers on Amazon used for 90 bucks . Thanks for the info. eBay might lose money doing this to sellers.

Views are not the same as in years past.  eBay changed that a year or so ago.

Before it was not a "true" view count.

May be part of the reason your views are down

Routers don't hold their value at all, once opened (and specifically without a manufacturer's warranty).  Just because your router was $300 new doesn't mean it's worth that even in excellent condition now.
