“Not authentic” Negative feedback

I received my first negative feedback this week from a buyer who claimed that the Bath & Body Works items they bought from me were not authentic.  (They received the items May 28th and it took nearly a month and a half for them to write the feedback).  I sent a polite message asking if they would like to return the items for free to get a full refund, but I haven’t heard anything back after 2 days.  I also included a picture of the receipt in the message which shows that I bought them directly from Bath & Body Works.  I’m not sure what else to do at this point - is it worth contacting eBay to see if they could do anything if I showed them the receipt?  Also, if I reply to the feedback, will it still leave the buyer with the option to revise the feedback in the event I’m able to get a response from them?  (I don’t know how long I should wait to reply to it).  Thanks for the help - it’s just really frustrating to have someone leave this kind of feedback allegation without even contacting me or responding to my message.

Frankly, I'm not too sure that increasing the amount of characters allowed in feedback was a good idea.  Some seem to write a novel that makes about as much sense as some of today's politicians speeches.

That's why it was a good idea.

Re: “Not authentic” Negative feedback

Of course there is the potential that the product has been used - and perhaps they liked it and maybe would like more, free.  Because they say it is fake doesn't mean that they didn't like it or want more.

Not saying 'NO' doesn't mean 'YES'.

The foolishness of one's actions or words is determined by the number of witnesses.

Perhaps if Brains were described as an APP, many people would use them more often.

Re: “Not authentic” Negative feedback

Yeah I thought about that possibility, especially since it’s been a month and a half since the product was delivered.  After the negative feedback I tried immediately messaging and letting her know that she could have a free return and a full refund, but got no response.

Re: “Not authentic” Negative feedback

Thank you again for your suggestion about contacting eBay on facebook.  They were very helpful and removed the negative feedback since I was able to provide the receipt, and also because the buyer wouldn’t respond to any resolution.  Thank you for the help!
