If they're only closed on Saturday, unless you normally ship Saturdays it won't add anything. Once mail is in the system it keeps moving regardless.

Thanks for the heads up, that means my shipping service will be closed too. Guess I'd better make sure I get everything out Friday if it's going to be a delay in shipping.

Basically everything bought after 8pm EST on Thursday goes out Monday... We've had lots of Monday holidays this year (I mean holidays that don't normally happen on a Monday, like Orange Shirt Day, which is a holiday for the government, but all us private sector people have to go to work).

So weird, my kid's school is having the day off Friday. -I don't think I've ever seen a weekend-falling holiday get observed on the Friday before instead of the Monday after. Also I'm pretty surprised USPS is observing ON Saturday, when a lot of post offices aren't open anyway.

Actually you've just been snookered.

According to the USPS web site:

* If a holiday falls on a Saturday, for most USPS employees, the preceding Friday will be treated as a holiday for pay and leave purposes.

So they are getting Saturday off BUT they are also getting holiday perks for Friday. Love those union jobs.
