I had a buyer purchase a pair of vintage pants that are described in the title and the body as having a pattern of brocade and shiny stripes.
Today I wake up to a SNAD request (already approved, of course by Ebay), with the buyer claiming not as described because (and I quote): "Hard to tell the fabric print / material in photos! Thank you though".
This a remorse reason for return and as such a complete abuse of buyer protection. These seem to be multiplying. What can sellers do? She never asked any questions about the fabric/print or any additional photos. I do not want to pay shipping both ways because the buyer does not like the item!

So the returned item finally made it.
Since no-one from Ebay responded to my question as to how I should proceed and 2 different CS reps provided much the same - incorrect - information (including negotiating with the buyer to accept a partial refund since she might be new when she has been a member since 2008 and has over 100 feedback and/or letting the case get escalated), does anyone have any idea how to proceed?
- Issue a partial refund for the item price only through Paypal and ask to have the case closed in my favor (this worked in the distant past, but I don't know if things have changed)?
- Or?
Any advice would be welcome. Thanks.

If the case was opened with any "not as described" reason, then I'm sorry, but you will have to refund the buyer in full. If you don't refund in full, then the buyer can ask eBay to "step in", and they will provide a full refund (or the rest of the refund). If this happens, you will get a defect for not resolving the issue yourself, and you will not get the final value fee credit.
eBay will not longer review cases, they are decided on the basis of the reason that was chosen when the case was opened. ebay Blues have confirmed that this is now the policy.

Doesn't every return get an immediate label now @tapi-szem whether you go down your left leg or your right leg?

Actually, no, they do not - if the seller does not take returns but the buyer asks for a return for remorse reasons, then the seller can refuse.
But this really has nothing to do with my present issue.
