Non paying buyer

Is there no way to report a non paying buyer?   When I attempt to open a case the drop down menu does not give me a not paid for item option..  buyer won item on the 18th  eBay says 4 calendar days….  Well it is the 22nd in still no payment and still can not report the buyer..

Re: Non paying buyer

Wait 4 days.

On the 5th day you cancel the transaction. Reason: Buyer did not pay.

This will give the buyer a strike.

After 2 of these strikes sellers can block him from bidding/buying.

Re: Non paying buyer

It's not exactly 4 calendar days; it's 4 full 24-hour days, for a total of 96 hours. You have to wait until after the time of day that the transaction took place. Then the list of options for canceling the transaction will include "Buyer hasn't paid."

@giofparts

If you avoid these types,  list all your items at a fixed buy it now price with immediate payment required checked off.  NO best offers either. Sport bidders and non - paying bidders steer clear of these listings as they must pay instantly.

I stopped using auctions style listings years ago and now when I get a sale, I always get paid.

Re: Non paying buyer

This is what I have always done, but I noticed the other day, most of my listings had IPR unchecked. I bulk edited (what I thought to be) all of my listings. One seems to have been missed, and now, because of that, I have an order waiting to be paid, going on 2 days. So now, I always make sure to look and see that IPR is checked.

Re: Non paying buyer

Computers don't work by days. They go to the second (or even less).

The buyer has 96 hours, to the second, to pay.

But at Hour 97 and one second, you can Cancel the sale.

The deadbeat gets a Strike and cannot leave feedback.

You get any fees back.

You can set your Buyer Requirements/Seller Preferences to Block automatically bidders who have Strikes.

And of course add him to your Blocked Bidder List , which also will block him from your non-auction listings.
