No thanks eBay, I don't need a sale

Actual question this morning on an item fixed price, no best offer option - "Can I get a better price?"

Based on the screenshot below, no better price, no reply, yes BBL. It is almost always someone with this kind of FB left who wants a low price. I sell almost nothing on eBay lately, but that's OK. I neither need nor want this kind of buyer.

Yikes!  You were lucky to get that advance alert. That's an impressive feedback history!

Oh, my... and quickly! So glad you took a moment to tick on that user's feedback! 👏

This is eBay - people are gonna ask that (and "this is my best price" is always a good answer). But looks like you dodged a bullet there. 😒

I always check on offers and questions. Can't stop people from buying, but questions and offers lead to some effective filtration!

Wow - Think of how many times this person has likely been reported and here they are buying(I mean scamming) with impunity.  I've seen many buyers like this one, and sadly, if the users base suffers continued reductions, people like this are the ones that will still be here buying(scamming), over-saturating the buyer pool with grief, upon grief...But if I owned this company, I wouldn't worry about that much and just raise the rates...

This has happened to me before too.  BBL!  Can we report buyers like this?

To be fair to sellers, eBay should monitor feedback left by buyers, and if they leave too many negatives, then make it harder for them to buy, you can't have a buyer do this to too many sellers and think it's acceptable practice.

Wake up eBay and listen to your sellers.😠

Respond by saying "Sure, as I have been meaning to raise it to a better price. "

Ha! That would be fun, but likely more wise to simply not interact with this type of buyer at all.

Instead of sellers continuing to get squeezed for trying to run a business on this platform, eBay should charge buyers like this an extra 15% on each purchase if they want to be able to shop(lowball) here.

Some buyers just don't realize how leaving negative FB repeatedly affects their chances of offers being rejected. They get so caught up with anger and wanting that last word, which is what feedback is. It should work as a relief of some sort for those sellers who fret over getting their first negative. Here you can see how it affects the buyers as well. They can get their comeuppance too....
