No Resolution closed case

I'm was wondering why this was posted as such. Because There WAS a Resolution. I refunded all the money back. It was refunded before I was able to check to see how the item arrived. I thought what am I going to do, so let it go. But then the other day I went to check a listing and the negative feedback is right on top. The first one anyone see's and that was almost 6 months ago. I don't think that's right to do when I'm doing all I can to receive positive Feedback.

I'm not sure where you are seeing "No Resolution".  Would you please be more specific.

Where are you seeing your two negatives appearing at the top, top of what?  When I view your listings and drop down to where I see a sampling of your FB, I don't see your negs until I click in to see all your FB and they are not at the top there either.

Some missing information. You said you refunded before you checked the item, was that before you received it back and did you simply unilaterally refund? As for the feedback it depends on how you have the feedback sorted when you are looking at it. If it is by most recent the negative is down the list a bit, if it is by most relevant yes it is on top.

Once tracking has shown that you’ve received a return back, eBay will refund  after 2 business days if you haven’t already done so.   EBay considers that as an unresolved case since you didn’t issue a refund in time.

I also see your negative feedback on the top.  EBay changed the feedback ‘sort’ order recently to what they consider most relevant.  I don’t know if everyone sees it in the same sort order.  I prefer to seethe most current feedback.

I see the negative at the top of your feedback when i click on your listing. Have you tried to contact the buyer and ask for a revision. Other than that there does not appear to be anything you can do to get rid of the neg.

I'm not sure how mine became part of the conversation, but to answer your question.  Yes I tried very hard to work with my buyer.  It unfortunately was a customer that nothing would satisfy.  I even offered to let them keep the item and I'd give them a full refund.  That did not satisfy them either.  The charms they received were fine.  I've sold them many times.  Unfortunately as sellers we do have to deal with some buyers that just have a need to complain.

Buyer would not communicate, so a revision wasn't on the table.

But thank you for your concern.

Refunds and Claims are entirely separate.

Once a grouchy buyer has their refund there is no reason for them to request that the negative be dropped or changed.

Which is why eBay is so hard on Feedback Extortion.

Never refund on  a promise of feedback removal.

It might help,or might not, to contact eBay staff through the social media NOT the phones, and show that the buyer promised to remove the FB if they were refunded.

This is also why buyers should go for Claims before leaving FB. Not only are sellers less likely to cooperate if they have been slammed with a neg, and not only can sellers get some FB removed in certain unusual circumstances, but any hint of Feedback Extortion can mean heavy penalties for the buyer.

You are allowed to leave a Response to any feedback.

It's usually a Bad Idea.

"We try to describe accurately. Buyer was refunded ."

Short. Calm. Short. Professional. And short.

PS- I found it amusing that the buyer complained about the seller's English, then made an obvious grammatical error in the next sentence.

I think that @4pawsup* meant to reply to the op,not you but their negative is too old for a revision.

IDK, sellers have up to 60 days to get a feedback revised or removed.

No problem.

If you respond to the last post on a thread, it will appear as you are responding to that poster.

If you use the box at the very bottom of the page that is grayed out, it will not show you as responding to any particular poster just as it does when responding to the OP.  Once you start typing in that box, the gray goes away and it looks like any other posting box.

The feedback link is not clickable.  If the sale was less than 60 days ago, I am sure that it would be.

What do you mean by "feedback link"?  Not the sale, the date the FB was posted, then 60 days.  I realize none of us can see that date, but the seller does have 60 days to try and get Ebay to remove it if that is the desire of the seller.  Ebay may or may not agree that it should be removed.
