Seems like I’m having more trouble with some buyers that just don’t pay or communicate. So irritating. I’ve been on EBay since ‘98 and don’t recall having this problem until this past year. I had to cancel 2 deals this week because of non paying buyers. Anyone else having this issue?

Hopefully you did that using the Cancellation process with the reason as Buyer Didn't pay so they get the strike on their account.
And make sure you have your Site Preferences for Buyer Requirements set to no more than 2 strikes in the past 12 months. Any buyer that has more than that will be block from buying from you if you have this set.
To avoid non payers all together you will need to run all Fixed Price listings with IPR [immediate payment required]. That will 100% stop non paying buyers.

After 4 days I do cancel the transaction as buyer not paying. Glad to know it is a strike against them. I will also set that preference suggestion for blocking buyers that have 2+ nonpayments.
I appreciate your reply! Pat

You are very welcome. I'm glad I could help. Make sure you pay it forward by telling other sellers to make sure their Buyer Requirements are set to 2 in 12. It will help make us all stronger.
And if you ever get curious. The section in the Site preferences just above where you set the Buyer requirements allows you to see a report that tells you how many buyers you blocked because of your Buyer Requirements in the past 90 days.
