Send to online auction

There used to be an option to immediately change a fixed priced listing to an auction.  Does this option still exist?  It was on the My eBay screen before, but I don't see it now.

Send to online auction

I found it in the seller hub. It's buggy as all get out, but it's still there as an option under the "Actions" menu.

In order to make it work, you'll need to remove "Immediate payment required" and "Automatically accept [decline]" amounts in your listing, but once those are gone, it seems to work as expected.

It's been a couple of months since I've used it and with as many changes as eBay has been making recently, it may have moved again, but the above was my experience the last time I tried it,

you can but the buy it now option  and price need to be manually changed. Funnyis that Ebay does this automatically for auction to fixed price. I think Ebay doesn't do it for auctions to fixed price because it's easy to notice and fix the type of listing - hence another short listing fee for Ebay.

@friskya

They changed the wording so I think that why I missed it earlier.  It says "Change to auction".  Quickly going down the list, I was looking for "Send to online auction" and went right past it.

Thank you.

Yes, I should have mentioned that. I think "Change to auction" is a much better descriptor than "Send to online auction" was. The former is pretty obvious - the latter made it look like you wanted to send it to Sotheby's or one of the other auction houses to sell for you! 😂

Thats it! You solved it, thanks! Funny thing, I called Ebay about 6 weeks ago about this and the rep I spoke to nor his colleagues around him, even heard of sending an item to auction from a buy now price and couldn't help me. Since then, I have been resorting to canceling listings that I want to send to auction.
