No More Powerseller Program

Everyone get the email from Ebay saying they are doing away with the Powerseller Program?

I am so excited - I can download a certificate showing I was a Powerseller !

Although the Power Seller program may be coming to an end, the Power Seller logo will still probably randomly appear next to our usernames for another decade when we sign in.

The 'me' page icon still shows and eBay got rid of 'me' pages like 10 years ago.

Miss having like 5 badges next to my name, Top Rated Seller, Power Seller, ID verified, top 5,000 reviewer, eBay store icon, now how can we stand out?

@symbot1  eBay's goal is NOT  to have Sellers stand out at all, unless it's at their home in the backyard.  They want the impression that everything for sale is by eBay.  This change started when they got rid of the "County Fair" ribbon badge in the US to what I call the Hospital road sign TRS Plus badge (at least that's what I thought the first time I saw it LOL).  I think as late as sometime last year I saw a Seller from China had the Country Fair badge. 

Next they separated the Seller's information and ID from the badge area ... here's what I'm talking about.

I did not know I was a PowerSeller until I got the messages (on two of my accounts) that the designation was going to be dropped.

Guess it wasn't of any use or importance.

At least there was no damfool badge.

It was of importance to some of us.

Certain tiers provided tangible benefits, but as some will point out, that wasn't recently. So we should only compare today's despair to yesterday's despair, not to when things actually worked.

Funny how everyone likes to point out that the Power Seller board is now dead. I wonder where all those power sellers went????

Gee.  Powersellers have no privileges left, and now we get an "I Was a Powerseller" certificate that we can't print and that would be worth less than the ink used to print it if we did.

Who wants to bet it was created by offshored lowest bidder programmers?

SUPPORTING - did I miss something??  The last time I spoke to ebay, I said, "I have this problem and I'm a power"  and they cut me off and just said "NO",  Then I said, "I think your current program could use some feedback, so" - and they cut me off and said "NO WAY NEVER"

And I read those asking "what are the benefits of being a power seller?"  Well, if you can print the certificate on toilet paper, well......

Is this ebays attempt to let us know that they hear our pain as sellers????  For as long as I can remember now, (15+ years) I CAN NOT recall 1 policy change that has aided sellers AT ALL,(please enlighten if I missed something,  I've been here the whole way and apparently am part of the "heritage" - does that actually mean I helped build this company??? ), AND now the changes they have made are actually hurting buyers as well.  (I've actually seen listings with sellers apologizing to buyers that they will have to wait longer for their shipments to go out because of Ebays newest blunder) 

I DO WONDER what you would find if you looked up EBAY POWER SELLER or EBAY TOP RATED seller in a Thesaurus?  ANY THOUGHTS OUT THERE???

@byndcell   It also means they will shut down two boards here on The Community.  I occasionally posted on the PS boards but the Selling board always seem the most active.

Now however, with the new page formats here I sense that everyday involvement by "regulars" has dropped of significantly ...
