New user-hostile format . . .

The latest change eBay has sprung on us is an absolute horror.  I've sent them a lot of feedback re this disaster.  I removed items that were scheduled to go on, cancelled my 'Buy it Now' listings, and the two remaining things I have on auction which have bids will be the last I'm putting on.   I've been on eBay over 20 years and never looked at any other sites because eBay worked and worked well.  Now I'm looking into a few others.

Which change finally push you over the edge, just curious? I will probably be finished selling here when they "invite" me into Managed Payments.

Waiving professional secrecy rights over sharing data without limit is an offer one ought to refuse as there is no precedent or parallel for this.

MP issue is polarizing for so many Sellers.

Never thought twice about enrolling last fall when asked to........I do not think I have ever second guessed a decision like I have this one.  Like those of us who did are in imminent peril.

I really do hope you are wrong.  I gave all my data to Paypal and guess I never really thought about that as well.  But I will say, data breaches then and data breaches/ransomware debacles now are very different.  And very few entities are really prepared for ransomware issues today - they think they are, but they are not.

There are two kinds of companies out there: ones that want as much data as possible in an effort to outsource, leverage, and monetize it; others that want as little as possible in the interest of risk avoidance.

I never gave my SSN to Paypal and they never asked for it as the PIP requirement by law was not retroactive; however, I recently gave them the last four digits as they require conversion to a business account to process payments on Shopify.
