New to item not selling with a lot of views. New to selling and wanting to grow

Hello everyone looking to get some help. It’s hard to find concrete information about selling on eBay as there is no true structure to promoting or building presence as a new seller. I’ve been reading things from all places about the search engine and trying keywords using terapeak but that’s not working well. Relisting the item give me mix results but none resulting in sales. 

Essentially, are there tips to getting you initial sales and starting momentum on eBay? The item I sell is heavily selling but mine isn’t in the mix of the bunch that are being presented to consumers.  I don’t know what to do can someone help?

Search completed listings to see what successful sellers are doing - title, item specifics, pictures, etc.

That has no presence or visibility in millions of auctions. Nor does it look like a credible and knowledgeable effort.

Right I’ve been checking them out with out completely copying them. I’m starting to believe that people are loyal to these Chinese manufacturers on eBay saying items for $5 or less and shipping them in a week. 

As far as the pandemic goes, when I filter my eBay searches to see sold items I see purchases of the same category item I am selling everyday. Is there not something I can do to trigger my first sales?

Hello and welcome! I took a look at your listing. Everything looked good there. It may be that your lack of sales is due to the fact that it is an unbranded generic item. 

When i searched for it, eBay returned 48,250 other listings for the same thing. Those top sellers you see returned in Search results have the advantage over your listing by being established sellers.  The greater the sales, the more likely you are to appear higher in Search results.

As a new seller, i would recommend you build up your experience level first. Sell things from around the house you no longer need to get a feel for the platform. Then find a unique item that won’t be competing with tens of thousands of others just like it. I would also recommend avoiding drop-shipping.

It takes time to build up a successful eBay business, so don’t be discouraged. Good luck and I wish you much success.

Is the bluetooth thing the only product you plan on selling? In my opinion, the est way to output as little money as possible and get the maximum return is going to garage sales, estate sales, and thrift stores. All of this is impossible at the current time, but after the c-virus situation subsides, that's how the average person can get going. It doesn't take a genius, just a smart phone and enough common sense, taste, and a good eye to recognize when something is typical and has small value or unusual and valued.
