Hate the new policy of not listing ALL of the people that view my items. I don't care whether they are real people or bots. They guide me to know whether or not an item is popular or not. It guides me to know if I should reduce an item if there are only a few viewers.
PUT IT BACK THE WAY IT WAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
STOP MESSING WITH THINGS THAT ARE WORKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GETTING SO AGGREVATED WITH EBAY IT MAKES ME WANT TO GO ELSEWHERE TO SELL MY ITEMS. AFTER 23 YEARS ON EBAY I'M JUST ABOUT DONE WITH SOME OF THE STUPID IDEAS AND CHANGES TAKING PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! JUST S T O P!!!!!!!!

Like it or not....it's the ebay sandbox. Adapt & move on! Just keep on listing, selling, shipping, & you will be OK.
Hang in there!!!

I agree . Being able to see how many people have viewed my items is a very important thing . The numbers let me know if I'm on the right track or not . When there's very little interest on an item then I know I should probably make some changes and this certainly does have an impact on actual sales . I don't understand what good e bay expects will come of these new changes . In today's failing economy sellers need more help getting by ,, not less of it .

I make most of the jewelry that I sell here . When I see any certain item not getting very many views I know to spice it up a little or make other changes . Most of the time this works . This is how the new changes in not showing how many views will have some impact on sales,, just personally speaking . However you're correct in saying this is e bays sandbox ,, but that doesn't mean sellers must play in it . There are so many more online selling sites available these days . Since I make three times the sales there than here I'm guessing they stick with the old tried and true motto ''If its not broken ,then don't fix it .

With this change...........don't know why the same theory should not hold true...........if your items aren't getting views.......real views......then: They guide me to know whether or not an item is popular or not. It guides me to know if I should reduce an item if there are only a few viewers. The thing is, we have to shift the recognition to a lower number of views.....
Beside which, I've always thought it was SALES that are important......Frankly, I don't care if the item has one view when it's sold........

IMHO views from more than a month ago only tell me whether my item used to be popular, not whether it is popular.
But that aside ...
It's too bad eBay didn't decide to show BOTH numbers rather than replace one with the other.

@luckythewinner true, there's no "lifetime" count anymore, but you can see 7 day, 30 day, 90 day, 6 months, one year or two years. That works for me. I actually like the change...while it was initially disconcerting....older listings in particular "dropped" quite a bit, it gives me a much more accurate snapshot of how my listings are doing in terms of views.

@my-cottage-books-and-antiques
I completely concur....This change gives you numbers that are useful. Just click it to see the history (if you want that number)
I have already grouped items by the 30 day views to see trends within my niche....
"current" trends, not 6 month old trends...this compare "apples to apples"
not 2 items with 2 different timelines worth of numbers
this change was actually a good one once you embrace it.....
