New listing tool - store sub-categories?

added a few sub-categories to my store  (ex.  Barbie / clothing)

wanted to add them to my listings but can't figure out how as they are not in my list of categories in the drop-down box

I was going to say maybe it takes a little while for the new sub categories to show up. But I just did a little test, I added two sub categories then went to revise a listing and when I clicked on store categories they were there immediately. So that’s not it.
