Today was my first experience listing an item on eBay with the new format. It took about 30 min vs 10 min to list an item. The item specifics fields seem to force an answer. The photos don’t seem to zoom in like before after cropping or adjusting brightness and contrast. eBay has sacrificed seller convenience for a newer modern form appearance with larger fields. Longer listing times will result in less total listings per seller. Less total listings will result in less sales and sellers switching to sell on other platforms. This will lead to less overall eBay revenue and a decrease in eBay stockholder confidence.
How to easily resolve? Bring back the prior listing format.

The old one is not coming back, the roll out of the new one started quite a while ago and many complained, although they have appeared to get used to it as time went by.
Good luck with it, like you I do not 'enjoy' change, but I accept it as it happens and do my best to keep up rather than be left behind.

I disagree. This new listing tool is a disaster. Just the text formatting alone is horrendous.
They changed the color palette, the signature colors I used are now gone, and you have to click through a gateway question sequence every time you want to switch to advanced formatting on the description.
What the heck is the reason for that? They trying to save costs on data by blocking people from formatting their descriptions? That's one of the bread and butter options so people's stores can stand out and be unique. Change is one thing. Purposefully making seller's lives harder with massive overhauls that don't add value to their platform is just irresponsible.

It’s so **bleep**. Takes way too long. Sections get emptied while you are filling out other sections. Then you have to go back and re-do them. Shipping part is the absolute worse. I like to tell my customers with the shipping prices before I sell it to them. This system is too complicated and messy makes it hard to sell.

I tried to remove item specifics that do my apply and come back to see them on my listings time after time. If that's the screwed up way that eBay wants them listed so be it...I don't care any more! I'm just going to pound out as many listing as fast as I can and PARTY ON!!

I have been having problems too. The main one I am having is the photos disappear when I am uploading. I have had it happen 4 -5 times a listing repeatedly. (Especially if I don't stay on the photos and try to fill in the rest of the form). UGH! So frustrating.
Also, the accept offers, I cannot fill out the auto accept and decline in the same move. I have to put one in and then go out of it and go back in to fill out the other.
The shipping - you have to delete one option and add to make the chosen one come first, you should be able to drag to order.
Took me 20-25 minutes to get one listing done, normally 10 tops. Not a fan.

I saw that too. Or I type things in and it enters then deletes them. I have to retype.
If they want colors etc when you type in he box, it should add not have to go down and + them.

I agree, mores steps, more hoops to encounter and a horrible color pallet.
The developers must be related to life insurance actuaries and not sales oriented.

Been trying to list items for 3 hours and only have listed 4 items successfully. Major glitches, making me have to start over. Get it together eBay!!!

I agree about stockholders.
I think I found out ebays algorithm. Anyone who has sold on the platfom from anytime isn't getting updates for certain things.
The call to three people tells me that this company is so far behind and they're not taking things seriously.
the shipping preference area has to be updated, that is lacking, the video part where you can get a video they should do that, you have to go to a third party software. honestly you shouldn't . our jobs are to list, details, etc. why make it harder to do .
